This is one of those examples of 'decent intentions but holy cow, the absolute WRONG way to go about it.'

Thank goodness I do not live in Jacksonville any longer, hopefully for those residents, cooler heads will prevail, this will get smarter attention and get re-written.

The garage door installation lobby is firmly against this.

Are there a lot of homes in Jacksonville with private junkyards in the front yard?

Gotta fight that blight!

Just matter of time before someone mentions the councilman, Warren Jones, who proposed the bill is a Democrat so might as well get that on the table now. 😛

From the local paper - Interesting approach to pave a path to your front door rather than your garage. No wonder there is an obesity epidemic.

Can't tell conclusively from the photo, but I suspect the garage is on the left there, garage door would be facing that truck.

Just require front and back license plates like most states.

Problem solved.

DUH.

Plus it would create jobs for inmates. A win-win.
