Meanwhile, the Act also bans “structuring” transactions in amounts under $10,000 to avoid filing those reports, but only if someone deliberately intends to evade filing.

I think it is disgraceful what the IRS has the power to do to private citizens.
They seem to be able to basically do whatever they want without impunity.
Sadly this is nothing new as it has ben going on forever. If ever there was a Government Department that needed an overhaul it is the IRS.
I think this is one issue Liberals and Conservatives can agree on now that the partisan politics have been removed from the discussion.
