IRS Seizing Bank Accounts of Innocent Americans

Civil forfeiture with no due process. Punished for withdrawing money from their own bank accounts...

Somehow I am sure this will become Obama and/ or the Democrats fault at some point in this thread.

If only it were that easy...

Obviously you didn't read the article.

I read the article and I don't understand how it is Obama's or the Democrats' fault.
Who came up with the law?
Under the Bank Secrecy Act, enacted by Congress to combat money laundering, banks must report all deposits, withdrawals and other cash transactions over $10,000. Meanwhile, the Act also bans “structuring” transactions in amounts under $10,000 to avoid filing those reports, but only if someone deliberately intends to evade filing.

If only it were that easy...
Actually I did so what is your point?

That would be a first.

Certainly not a first from you.... 😉

My question is, Who said it was Obamas' fault? Nobody! So why all the drama?

Just a matter of time... 😉

Just a matter of time till the Republicans get blamed, you mean.. It sure as hell won't be the Democrats. Since when has that ever happened?

Considering you and the other conservatives here blame Obama for everything that pisses you off in life I would say your statement is more than a touch ironic.

Trying to figure out what this has to do with Tea Partiers. Nothing in that article has anything to do with the Tea Party.

He was trying to be funny by saying the IRS decided to do something different from harassing the Tea Party.....

He failed. 😛

Same as every day.

Friendly reminder: The thread topic is about the IRS.
Careful. Someone might start complaining and scold you for deflecting, not discussing the topic, swerving, or who knows what.

I am confused now Alloak so tell me again what the article you linked has to do with the tea party?

Apparently the IRS is moving on to other targets. You OK with it?
Sorry to confuse you.

The thread topic is "Tired of Harassing Tea Partiers?". It says nothing about the IRS.

Ah thanks, IRS going after tea partiers, got it. I knew you would get a dig in there about Obama somehow. 😉

Was not. Obama found about it on the news.

alloak thanks for editing the thread title. I look forward to the intellectual discussion devoid of petty insults that will now surely to follow! 😉
We'll see, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I think it is disgraceful what the IRS has the power to do to private citizens.
They seem to be able to basically do whatever they want without impunity.
Sadly this is nothing new as it has ben going on forever. If ever there was a Government Department that needed an overhaul it is the IRS.
I think this is one issue Liberals and Conservatives can agree on now that the partisan politics have been removed from the discussion.
How is that PB? intellectual and respectful enough for you? 😉

Seems like this is a law that both sides could support changing. If it weren't for that good old fashion gridlock, but that's a good thing.
