Hillary Clinton 2016

The only bizarre thing is the obsession you have with Hillary. If you despise her so much, why do you pay so much attention to her and let her get to you like this?
The better question might be why so many here seem bothered by it?
She's running for President. She's the only candidate on the Dem ledger. She's going to get the attention. Like it or not, she's a topic of conversation. It's germane.
Why shouldn't we talk about her, and why is it bothersome to do so? Aren't you proud and excited Hillary Clinton is your candidate? This thing hasn't even started yet so it might be wise just to go ahead and adapt.
I started an opposition thread on the GOP Candidates for the sake of balance and it fizzled. This one is 50 pages long. Apparently she's a pretty viable topic, so I really don't know what else to tell you. Sorry it bothers some folks here. You can always just skip over it if that's the case.

Bothered? Dude you couldn't be farther from the truth! This one has fizzled a few times now and you keep bringing it back. It's freakin hilarious!

Oh, sure it is! The first sign of hilarity is when people start complaining about a thread staying alive too long. It's a dead giveaway they're just loving every minute of it.

The woman is dangerous.
She is attempting to buy the Presidency, controls many in the main-stream media yet has no resume. Her flying around the world for four years is an activity, not an accomplishment.
The Clinton’s long and deep history of corruption and criminal activity should preclude her from even becoming the Democrat Party’s nominee but that would assume Democrats have ethics and a conscience.
It is not an obsession to pay attention to Hillary. It is the duty of every American to know as much as they can about any candidate otherwise we could end up with another failure like Obama.
Another disturbing issue is that Hillary is all the Democrats have. The Democrats have a problem and they know it. There is much angst among the party elites. Fortunately there is time but the Democrats better hustle. If Hillary reaches her campaign cash goal of $2.5 billion she can simply buy the Presidency.

Ok, you sold me. Hopefully I'll get a serious engaging response. To me, she is not excused for her wrongdoing. I don't know what the typical punishment is for that, but let's let the legal process play out. Any republican can press charges whenever they want. If charges cannot be brought against her by any of her opponents in Washington, then shouldn't that be the bigger focus? Aside from that, we pride ourselves on Democracy. If the masses aren't swayed by this scandal, and the majority vote her in, then our Founding Father's vision has come to fruition.
At the same time, to deduce that she is immoral, has poor character, and dangerous, based on this scandal, we don't do ourselves any legitimate service to let personal taste overpower our logic and reason. Something to consider when voting? Absolutely....but I don't see it being much more than that, similar to that of Bridge-gate.
You also mentioned a while back that you believed she was hiding emails about directing funds illegally to her foundation, or something along those lines. If that's the immoral behavior that you refer to, along with the lying and cheating, you clearly dislike her for that. But yet, no charges have been filed against her for any illegal activity, and she never physically harmed anyone - the 2 justifications used to excuse and defend Geller, and refuse to criticize her content. But Hillary? Doesn't matter, she's immoral.

Well I can only speak for myself but I sure haven't complained. What's there to complain about?? Comedy gold!

This thread reads as old and tired as Hillary looks. I would love to see some new blood on both sides of the isle/

x2 !
She is 67. Where are all the younger candidates?

By the way, nice editing job when you quoted my post...you pulled one sentence out of the middle thereby changing the context of my post by removing what I was saying is hilarious. Bad form. What you should have quoted is below.

That would be nice.

Who has the $2.5 billion to compete?

Wrong. You edited your own post in midstream. I didn't touch your statement.

How does any republican press charges?. The Justice department has to investigate and press charges. And they have not yet done that. I don't have any confidence that they would investigate. Just like the IRS, the politicized Attorney General has not done anything. It is a joke
You don't think Hillary is hiding emails? you don't think the IRS is trying to hide emails? It is just a coincidence that these servers and emails go missing? The legal process is not playing out. That is exactly what the problem is. If you have a Hillary Clinton presidency, the legal process will never play itself out. The only info being discovered now is from lawsuits that are forcing slowly this info to come out. And I don't believe that the founding fathers of this country would be real thrilled with the lack of coverage the press has given to any of the scandals, and having an incredible bias media with people like George Stephanopoulos being considered journalist

Yeah, if Hillary wins, I would bet that the GOP starts the impeachment process within a few months. The Republican motto: If you can't beat 'em, impeach 'em. 😛

Interesting take on Hillary and the media. Actually, the whole political process and today's media.

If Hillary wants to avoid the beltway political media, well then, that's very smart
bykosChris Cillizza, the poster-child of everything that is wrong about political journalism, whines about lack of access to the Clinton campaign:
Do you not think it is of value to know how Hillary Clinton spent her time since leaving the State Department? And how the Clinton Foundation handled its business with various donors who would, undoubtedly, still be in the picture if she was elected president? Or what she thinks of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the fight currently happening in Congress? Or Iran? Or the Middle East?
You get the idea. The role of the media in this process is to show voters who these people are, really, and to explain how these people would govern the country if elected. Like the media or not, that’s a very important role — and one that is essential to a functioning democracy.Such pompous bullshit from the asshole who once wrote:
My job is to assess not the rightness of each argument but to deal in the real world of campaign politics in which perception often (if not always) trumps reality. I deal in the world as voters believe it is, not as I (or anyone else) thinks it should be.
Do voters need to be informed about Hillary's position on the Pacific trade deal? Of course. But no one is looking at Cillizza to deliver that information. He's even said he doesn't care whether an argument is right or not! Thankfully, in this day and age, he is as irrelevant as Mark Halperin's insipid candidate scoring system.
The day when the political media was instrumental in getting a candidate's message out is over. Candidates now have myriad vehicles to communicate their message straight to the voters without having it wrung through the old media's filter. As consumers, this allows us to avoid the spin and biases of those reporters. So who will ask the politicians the "hard questions"? Well, if by "hard questions" you mean ask whatever it is that has Fox News currently in a tizzy, then sure, the political hack reporters will do that. But if you're talking about things that actually matter to people, then don't hold your breath. The political press corps hasn't done that in forever.
The difference now is that no one reads their newspapers or watches their TV shows anymore. That era is over. In this age of social media, they genuinely don't matter. (And for the whiners, this response sums it up.)
So yes, if you're Hillary Clinton, you damn right ignore the dinosaur press corps. Fuck them. They haven't earned any respect, and there's nothing they can offer that is of any value to Hillary (or any other Democrat for that matter). And worst of all, there's nothing they can offer of value to the voters either.
It's now up to us and the partisan media to use modern media tools (like the social networks) to pressure our candidates to speak about the issues that we care about. It's not so easy as outsourcing it to the old press corps, but those guys weren't getting it done anyway.

Hillary doesn't really need the media, and avoiding them is smart. If I was advising her I'd employ that strategy, keep her away from the cameras and microphones, keep her totally hidden away from people whenever possible.
The more she speaks publically the more her support erodes. Having Hillary out making statements, comments, and/or answering questions is like playing with fire. Unforced errors and head shakers are inevitable.
Lay on the lead. Run the clock. That's the strategy.

Did you read the piece?

alloak must be beside himself...on Tues she takes questions from the media in Iowa, and now the first batch of emails have been made public, with more to to come. It's almost too much to take!!

He is working on his spin as we speak.

Took questions from the media? Stop the presses!
The first batch of emails has been made public. Boy howdy! You mean some of the ones that weren't deleted? She's really coming clean now!
