If she wins, you conservatives will have a tough time explaining how a mean, arrogant, lying, cheating, joke of a politician beat the Republicans, for the 3rd time in a row. If she's a joke, but wins, what does that make the Republican Party? Heck, they already lost twice to the worst President in U.S. History.....what does that say about them?

I think she's awful and mean and hope she gets annihilated. of course, here in RI, she'll win 80-20.

I think Rhode Island's own Lincoln Chafee is going to challenge her.

they threw out McCain/Palin and Mitt "The Cardboard Cutout" Romney.

and I won't have to explain how or why Hillary won, should she win.

and I still ask, "Why"? let's say for the point of argument she's the best. Why? How? How are her ideas all encompassing to the democrats? You mean to tell me there isn't one freakin' democrat who has differing ways and ideas to tackle the country's problems? I don't believe that. They're all scared of the monster and won't debate. God forbid Hillary debate one of her minions...

ol' Linc wasn't liked all that much here, though I think he's a decent man and from what I've read, there are some around the country who like the dude.

GO LINC!

I think the 'why' has everything to do with her position in the Democrat Party. Personally I disagree with her on too many of her hawkish and pro big business policies to vote for her, but as far as the field goes she is the most qualified. Her foreign affairs experience is second only to George Bush the First's. Globally know Republican comes close to her experience of knowledge.

Even though I don't support her and I'm not a Democrat, I think it is smart to tone down the primary. By the end of the Republican primary there will be blood and viscera staining every candidate. Much of the general election will be spent sticking the Republican candidate back together.

Bottom line our Presidential elections drag on for years when they really only last 3 months.

But, the why? In the eyes of the Democrat Party leadership Hillary has earned the nomination.

This looks very bad for Hillary today. I think she should stop in another Chipotole on the way to testify to make sure she appears to be in the average Americans corner.

Also Hillary "forgot" to disclose this information to the Obama administration. No worries, however, they can always check the email threads on this topic, right?

that sounds like a coronation. Like the king has died or abdicated the throne and she's next in line.

whatever...we as Americans show great resiliency and fortitude despite any and all politicians.

take it from a RIer... 😛

Hey Goober why not just link to the article? Did you do that cherry picking?

Here's the article from the NY Times if anyone is interested:

She wasn't born into it so it isn't really a coronation. We as Americans have blessed a two party system that offers us very little in the way of choice. The sooner the American People withdraw their membership from the parties the better.

I'm disappointed that nobody will step up and even challenge her. Seems almost un-American. I know this isn't the best they can do. She's a basket case.

Well then that is a sad thing for this country because she is a better option than any GOP challenger so far.

lf that is the best you can say about her, then it's not sad, it is pathetic.

Right. In America we allegedly have freedom of choice. We can choose between bunches of brands of toilet paper, a bundle of different brands of hemorrhoid creams, but for President you get a choice between two a$$holes.

And both of those a$$holes have been purchased by global corporations, corporate lobbyists, and the richest of the rich.

I have a hard time calling this a democracy.

Yes, you are disappointed because you are afraid that she'll win....that's why it bothers you. Democrats have a strong candidate, whether you agree with the politics or not, and the Republicans don't. I'd be upset too if the Republicans had the clear favorite to win, and the Dems had nothing.

As for her being a basket case and a joke....she has a doctorate degree from Yale, former Senator, Secretary of State, etc., etc......what does that make you and your credentials? Is that really all you offer now? Just name-call and trash the opposition? When are you going to sell your party's policies? And like Bhawk said, where is the GOP alternative to the ACA?

That's the way it's supposed to be....the best candidates get the job. What's sad and pathetic is the failure of the Republicans to compete.

Totally subjective. I'm neither a Dem or a Republican and she scares me to death.

True. By "strong", I mean she has a clear advantage over anyone else due to her fame, position, visibility, campaign funding, etc. Tough to compete with that.

I don't hear a single Republican running on their own record or their own vision of America.

I only hear a solid drum beat of "Vote for me because I'm not Hillary."

I couldn't help but notice that in defending your use of the term, "Strong" you have omitted, "Character".

It would say more about the electorate than anything else.

What it would say about the electorate is that they would probably reject the candidate that you would choose. That's probably a good thing.

Voting is a right, & everyone may or may not have level of interest or knowledge of issues as some on this site, but that is not a prerequisite to voting for a candidate of choice. Let the voters elect whom they choose.

Certainly you're not in the camp of those who think a political literacy test is a good thing?

So tell us which of the potential names mentioned in the presidential discussion would comfort you.

Curious - can you you expand upon & provide a bit of detail as to why Hillary scares you to death?

Alloak, you are so transparent. You should be able to see that it's easy to denigrate anyone in this world if you investigate them enough, especially politicians... You can find dirt anywhere you look - it's your choice to only look for it on the left.

"They all do it" or "everybody does it," take your choice. My fault, I forgot. That excuses anything.

1. Glad you asked. I'm a citizen, free to express my opinion on politics or anything else I damn well please. That not good enough any more?

2. Here's a classic response. "Everybody does it."

3. Are you serious? Examples of selling my principals here probably number into the hundreds, maybe thousands by now. Not that "my party" seems in any hurry to accomplish much of it.

4. Where was that sentiment during the formative stage of the debate? Nowhere to be found, and it's a little late to start asking now. That train done left the station.
