Third Party candidates have a long history of being way out there.

Add...3rd party Candidates with 15-20% of the vote assure the winning Candidate will have less than 50% of the Vote....meaning that an awful lot of people did not vote for him/her. In a "Majority rules" society, that is a tough one to swallow.

1992 is a good example:

Clinton 43%
Bush 37.4%
Perot 18.9%

Meaning 57% of the Electorate Voted against the winner. Not cool at all.

Interesting perspective. Never looked at it that way, other than a nagging gut feeling that the whole show is bs. As far as I have been able to tell, there has never been a third party win, is this correct?
