Edit: ONE of the impressive stats of this legend to me is that he won a qualifying race for the Daytona 500 (formerly known as the Twin 125's) EVERY YEAR in the 90's. From 1990 to 1999, he won a Twin 125, every year.

Bum Phillips

Rick Mears

Ken Anderson

Don Meredith

Tony Clonninger
First player in the National League to hit TWO Grand Slam home runs in one game. A fact made even more impressive is that he was a pitcher!

Willie McCovey

Antonio Langham

Great stuff -- the photo of Langham makes it seem like he too was part of this great era of athletes -- Ken Anderson -- he was knocked out of a game one time after a late & smashing hit -- the player was ejected -- the game was in Cinci w/crowd screaming for the guy's blood as the game continued w/Anderson still being tended to on the sidelines
Pittsburgh's Glen Wagner? might've been playoff game --
there was no google then, why should there be now 😮 😮 😉
but great shots -- WillieMac, always rooted for him -- Don Meredith -- he'd bark the signals -- then the ofnsv line would stand up, then take blocking positions -- can't recall another team doing that
Great of Sparky Anderson too -- 2me it's got "spring training shot" written all over it 😮

Russ Francis

Lee Trevino at the 1971 US Open at Merion. He won.

John Lucas

Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey

good ones -- Dan Pastorini shoved a reporter to the floor one time on TV -- super of Colt .45s rookie Joe Morgan --
that's John Bagley covering John Lucas, he had a good turn w/us, more renowned for his BC career
dude that 1 of Len Dawson, Ya :pissah: -- they won the 4th Supr Bowl, 23-7 over heavily-favored MN (google-free thread as always) -- sh!t just imagine all the political-correcters on that one
guessing Jerry Grote too late w/the tag on Lou Brock -- & Bullet Bob -- thanks
