i'm glad you guys are enjoying it. i find it kinda fun to try and comment in the moment. i'm trying not to be real snarky but sometimes ya just gotta be.

it will be harder tonight i think. the speakers tonight hopefully talk about some kind of policies......prob not....but they should or this convention is as worthless as the candidate.
and policies are not we disagree with everything the other side proposes. if i was a conservative i'd be very disappointed if this convention offered nothing.

Here's some of tonight's speakers.
The theme will be "Make America First Again," and speakers will include Eric Trump, Newt Gingrich, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz and VP nominee Mike Pence. Marco Rubio will appear via video message. (per CNN). Cruz should be interesting, he wants to run in 2020.
i was talking to my mom about the convention today, she brought it up, and we were talking about how subdued it seems. she was remembering back in the day....black and white tv and radio....how raucous? it was. she was a Goldwater supporter in her early 20's, her aunt....my great aunt always told a story about how as a toddler, when Goldwater would come on tv i would say "there's old goldwater again" in a disdainful child voice.
we talked about how late the convention starts compared to those days and how it doesn't seem to be a big drunken party. how people dress today and the types of people who are delegates. how they all seem to want to get the heck out of there by 10:30pm to go get dinner and drinks. it was an interesting chat.
i just heard on FOX that 2/3's of the delegates have never been to a convention before.
Just in case anybody missed it, It's Official. He is THE nominee, no longer "presumptive nominee".
These are Republicans who endorse him.
I cannot imagine the Democratic response.
