Firing someone 24 hours before they could qualify for their pension is mean spirited and un-called for. it's personal when that is done. If someone is going to be fired, at least have some dignity in the process and try to do the least harm to someone in the process. Washington is too full of power hungry zealots who want to wield control. Playground politics. No valor, no honor, no dignity.
He loses half a million dollars and medical benefits for himself and family. He was going to retire that Sunday, so why the push to fire him just before he was going to retire?
