These facilities are popping up all over. Playing with guns for family fun! The gun range I attend is becoming more family oriented all the time.

Adults and kids playing with guns and shooting at cardboard, and some of these kids can really shoot! Many young Marksmen coming up through the ranks. Family bonding at it's best while enjoying a worthwhile hobby and learning responsible gun handling techniques....

I took my 9 year old son to the BB gun range 2 weeks ago apart of a Cub Scout campout. He had fun but he prefers archery. It's going to be a while before let him shoot a .22 though.

Very cool. Archery is fun although very challenging. Never quite got the knack of it like shooting guns. My first was a single shot 20-gauge and I was ten or eleven. My pop sawed an inch or two off the stock to fit me better. That was a pretty little shotgun and I wish I still had it.

There are two gun issues.

One is gun use for sports/hunting.

The other is gun use for self/family protection.

Both are serious things, people need to be properly trained. The questions seem to be if you let kids shoot guns at family fun ranges does it take away from the seriousness of proper gun training, and how young should someone be to be able to start shooting?

The right to bare arms shall not be infringed...

Milk shakes are alway part of a family fun day.
