Exemptions.....

Butch on politics and silence:
At his Thursday concert at Homer's Center for the Arts, drummer Butch Trucks plans to work through the frustration he's been feeling since Election Day.
"I'm going to tape Donald J. Trump on all five of those drums, I promise you," said Trucks in a Nov. 14 phone call from France. "I am gonna beat the living s--- out of them and I'm going to feel so much better.""I'm not going to keep my mouth shut," Trucks said. "Donald Trump has been horrendous, saying things are bad because of Muslims or Mexicans. This is exactly what happened in the 1930s in Germany and it's gonna get worse."

If you notice on my drumhead it says, “Wake the f ck up.” Somebody asked me, “What does that mean?” And I said, “What do you think it means? The fact that you have to ask me is self-explanatory.”

Hahaha- a WP moratorium the first week after the inauguration while the entire country is yappin away - this is the only sane place on the planet right now. We are probably stopping WW3. God bless you all and

This is a historic time, not just for our country with a new Commander in Chief, but also for the website due to the enormity of one of the founding members of the band passing on. If he had just died peacefully of natural causes we would still be shocked that it wasn't one of the more indulgent ones passing before he did.
I think it is a combination of him being the first one of the survivors who remained (after Duane and Berry) to go that is so shocking, and then the rest of it. We know where he went, we know who is up there with him, and we know there are no tears in heaven, but even all that doesn't seem to help much.
Hopefully we all get a little more centered and together somewhere next week, but fully comprehending this, well that's gonna take some time.
