It did make the news. I didn't recognize the name, but I heard all about the incident from several news sources. Not sure what point you think you are trying to make. Maybe that a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guys with a gun? Yes, the news reported it, in fact more so than most of all of the other shootings that happen everyday in this country.
Yeah the story was not reported. Brilliant post.

It’s a cricket fest in here.
Even tho it's 'ghastly' I think the media was right to report this (in USA Today)
that, in Ashland, Ohio, the mother of an 8 year old boy who repeatedly shot his 4 year old sister, delayed seeking medical help for fear that the guns they use to hunt food would be taken away
so, let's not forget, there's still a real element of backwoods squalor and poverty-stricken areas of malnourished Deliverance-type people in the USA who have fallen through the cracks --
& it was reported -- no we're nowhere near a civil sane society, That should be on the media's agenda to point out

I saw this all over the news and loved the story. Do you honestly believe that it deserves the same attention as mass murder in our schools? If so, why? The title of the thread implies you believe there is an anti-gun agenda in the media. Is it possible their agenda is to bring attention to mass murder in our schools? Why do you think it’s an anti-object agenda?
Related to the title of this thread, I do believe Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars, and the like have an agenda, if you consider them to be the media (I know, kind of stretching the definition of media into the world of right wing echo chamber, but some here consider them "news," at least when convenient).
BigV, where did you find this story if it wasn't in the media?

Some would consider "Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars, and the like" think tanks or policy centers. MAGA.

It wasn't BS. Google the guy.
The kid was freaking out because he thought the devil took over his computer. Must have been lurking here on Whipping Post.
I think the point was, "I don't like liberals".

No, I think the point was "conservative issues don't get reported by the media, and therefore conservatives continue to be persecuted." Of course this is incorrect, but it was the point he was trying to make. Conservatives have an overwelming fear that white, gun loving Christians (aka true Americans) are losing their power in America. Donald Trump is a direct result of those fears. A biased media is the rallying call to those that fear a free press, because a free press is the #1 danger to their messiah.
