I heard a great interview with Jane yesterday on the NPR radio program "Fresh Air." Fascinating history of the Koch family in her new book as well as the far right conservative political machine the two controlling Koch brothers began building in the late 70's.

What is perhaps most intriguing is that their father and the family patriarch built a giant petroleum refinery for Adolf Hitler in the late 1930's, and previous to that, helped Josef Stalin build the Soviet Union's massive oil infrastructure.

Also of interest is the family dynamics between the four brothers and the many legal battles that have lasted years for the control of the Koch family businesses that have pitted two against the other two.
