Yes, going to the Duke - NW game should be fantastic. I really thought that Duke QB Daniel Jones was playing with confidence again after a rough and banged up last year for him. Duke has a good team. So does Northwestern. If you live that close and have nothing better to do, it sounds like a great idea!
Yes Oklahoma, wow. FAU not be a fast D compared to the team speed that OU has, but they are a really veteran unit and the fact that they offered zero resistance was surprising. In hindsight, with the new FAU QB (former OU) after having a cool-handed Driskel last year was an underestimated loss. Interesting to see where FAU goes from here (host Air Force this week - FAU lost to Navy last year). Lane Kiffin got fed a big ole pile of humble pile in that one.
I could not find that Kansas State game to watch, I saw they were trailing late and wanted to see it. Looks like KSt kicked FGs from the 7, 5, 21 and 27. Those are some short FGs. South Dakota is a good team and all, but if you are KSt you got to have some better finishes to those drives. Then they handed SD 10 pts off turnovers with a short field FG and pick-six. WR Zuber to the rescue with the punt ret TD and the TD catch. Barnes fumbled twice. Miss State was sure a well oiled machine last year, looking forward to this one. The Game Of The Year spread on this one was 2.5 in the summer, it is up to 8.5 now. That is alot of pts for a road fav going to Manhattan with a new coaching staff and a QB coming off a broken leg having not played a snap yet this year.
Kansas Jayhawks. Again, sometimes it helps to know who the good teams are in FCS/IAA, but I expected KU to beat Nicholls even though Nicholls was a playoff team I believe last year. And it wasn't really even like KU played well and just made some bad plays to help out Nicholls. Nicholls actually made some bad plays to help KU stay in the game. Well there was a bad facemask penalty on the Nicholls QB to keep a drive alive. But I think KU got a free safety on a bad punt and then Nicholls muffed a punt at the 10 and KU got a free TD out of that. Nicholls sacked them 6x! Funny I still think KU can win this week at Central Mich, but KU hasn't won a road game in how many games, like 40 or something? They hired Jeff Long for AD, he is a CFB guy. Just don't know what they can do to turn it around. We remember the dark days of Northwestern and Kansas State and Temple and Oregon State (who is bad again), those teams reinvented themselves at one point in time, how can Kansas do it. Like it was just over 10 years ago they were in the Orange Bowl!
I don't know I could talk about college football forever. Wednesday is almost over that means just 2 more days and a wake up to another fantastic Saturday!

nebish,I seem to have misplaced my calendar. What day is tomorrow? Anything going on we need to know about?

We made it!! It all happens again tomorrow! Friday nights for me during football season is literally like a kid waiting to run down the stairs Christmas morning!
sckeys, you forgot to make picks in the yahoo league. You can still make picks for all your Saturday games.
Jerry! You lasted one week! You too, all the Saturday games are there for you to make still!

I’m on it here in a few mins. I was reading some previews.
Looking forward to today's games.
I know Oklahoma is really good but giving 30 to UCLA? 30???
Yeah, Kansas is bad. An underdog at Central Michigan? They are a MAC school.
My in laws live right across the street from Ross Aid Stadium and go to every game. Purdue better win today after losing there last week.
"The Bear", that guy on ESPN says to take Arkansas St +36.5 against Bama. I dunno about that. He also said Duke will win today at NW.
Should be a fun day!
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.
I wondered that about OK too. I went with the big spreads on a few teams as 30 seems a lot. I did take Bama tho.
It looks to be a fun day. 😮
Not my day.
Fun night!! And it is going on 1am and there are still 4 games on!
Streaks that ended yesterday:
Michigan threw a TD pass to a WR (364 days)
Kansas celebrates a road win (46 games, 2009)
And Bill, this one is for you....Kentucky snaps the nations longest series losing streak beating Florida (31 years, 1986)!

Clemson had a close one. My picks were horrible and I hope you folks had a better day.
Great day of football, Colorado game was a good on in Lincoln. Buffalo QB and WR we're a great tandem.
Pitt must be really bad to get face-washed that bad, Ball State scared the Alter Boys and the ND faithful.
The Quack keeps on churning over another cream puff. One more easy one against San Jose State then the Tree comes to Eugene. That's going to be big time.
Putting 25 up yesterday was a return to my former glory days. I don't expect that to last.
QUACKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only lost two games that I bet. Both Big Ten. Northwestern's offense was nonexistent and Michigan State couldn't really get going, although their D played well.
Colorado game was fun. Should have bet against Notre Dame.

Huskers showed some real areas of improvement and yet a lot of first game mistakes.
Should have had the Buffs 4th & 24 with less than two minutes left. Really, really dumb personal foul penalty though. That was absolutely the right call. Didn't expect a bonehead play like that coming from a more experienced player.
Really great improvement on the pass rush, seven sacks. Only had 14 all of last year, which is really pathetic.
"There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute force and ignorance"
A good old face-washing reference! Yes!
I thought Pitt competed pretty well in that first half, but too many mistakes just accumulated and then PSU is plenty capable of pouncing and they did in the second half.
Northwestern was stopped on downs 4x and those two INTs...That was unfortunate for the Cats. Duke just played D and tried killing the clock the entire second half. Sucks that Jones got hurt, hope he can come back soon but I'm a little pessimistic on that.
Anyone take the Bruins? They covered!
Auburn screws pooch again against LSU. Good for Coach O.
Anyone take the Bruins? They covered!
I'm on them now. Trailing 7-16 +2.5 near end of 1st H. Let's get this W tonight Strat!

Sorry to have disappointed you. First time since 1971 UCLA has started off 0-3. And after last night, I don't know if it's going to get better this season.
This will be my toss out week.

Yeah that 2nd H didn't go well. Took a chance on them figuring some things out at home in game 3. Didn't look like they have anything figured out yet and now Thompson-Robinson's Dad is tweeting his displeasure about Chip Kelly. His son is a true freshman and Chip is in a major project. What is it with UCLA player parents? Well, it isn't just UCLA but just weird they just went through the whole Lavar Ball thing now this.
Yahoo Pick'Em league has an error with the wrong weekly lowest point total being dropped. They are aware of the problem and working on it I guess. I contacted them twice, other groups have the same issue.
Note to those who sometimes forget picks - there are 3 Friday games on the pick'em....two of them should be really good games for some exciting Friday action!
Bhawk - 3 games on the Friday pick'em.
Pretty excited for this FAU-UCF game. Then the night cap Wazzou at USC. A little Penn St - ILL in between to see how Lovie's team looks in year 3 for his B1G opener.
I’m hoping for a better week with these games. I hope Ark can hold the line on Aub and Oregon prevails. Those are on my other pick. Good luck everybody.
Hoping Michigan opens up the offense to start the game. They should beat Nebraska but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

I don't see them losing at home but covering 18 might be a stretch.
I was somewhat surprised Illinois got pounded at home last night as bad as they did.

Illinois was actually winning the game, and were only a few down going into the 4th quarter - then they got outscored 35-0 in the 4th.... 😮 😮 😮

They covered the spread :D.
Somebody has to hold the 10th spot down.
