Don't really care. Would be fun to beat you though.
But I have two pools that $$$ is involved. More concerned with those.
Although confidence pools are fun. Interesting to see what others are concerned about. I like Oregon to wup one of my alma maters, Michigan State.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.
And load up on Ohio State. Hate to root for them but I think they will play well for Meyer in his "last" game. I would rather they lose frankly.

Lee, pm me your email and I will have ESPN send you a direct invite and we'll see if that works for you. And what is your ESPN user name?
Thanks but I have one. That's how I can log into the pool. Oh well.
I guess you can try gobluelee@yahoo.com
My email.

just signed up for the pick 'em
"You are currently viewing a previous season".
I sent an email through espn's invite. Hopefully that takes you to the right page.
It really has to be something simple where you are just on the wrong page or something.
I clicked on the 2017 league and got a "you are currently viewing a previous season", but right next to that you can click on "back to current season".
You can actually see the league and who is in it even if you are not logged in - that is why I thought maybe you were not logged into ESPN's page. When I am logged in, in the upper right corner it shows a little round icon with a silhouette type thing in it and if I move my cursor over it it says "welcome scott" and shows my teams and stuff. If I am not logged in, it says "log in", but I can still see the league and all the signed up people.
If I didn't care for you to be in the league I'd just say whatever and not even reply. But damn it, figure it out and get in there!
Ah, don't worry about it. Like I said I am in some others so that's cool. Although I would have taken App State last night as my highest confidence pick. Also forgot to put in my bet on them last night.
That was easy money. 😮

Started the bowl season 3-1 Saturday which I'll gladly take. A couple of easy covers and a 1/2 eeker by Eastern Michigan.
Liking N Illinois tomorrow. Hoping it gets to +3 for a little cushion. Could buy a half point I guess.

If anyone is interested, my buddies run a bowl pool. It doesn't start until the Dec 26th games because they get their relatives in on on Xmas day. Pays out 70%, 20%, 10% for top three places. Only costs $10. I can give my friend's uncle's address. He collects the money.
Gives a reason to watch some games you might not care about. They send out a spreadsheet with everyone's picks.

Huskies not looking like that good of an idea....

Well, I went 0-4 in bowl bets Saturday (losing ULL 2nd H really sucked, as did losing GaSouthern on that 4th down TD by EM) - so UAB was my first winner last night. We'll see how SDSt can do tonight. Very underwhelming year for them, they had some significant injuries...I just have a hard time accepting Ohio as the favorite over them so I took them Aztecs.
I appreciate you guys offering up the bowl pool sign ups. I;m just kind of playing out the string here. Spending more time on snowmobile forums than actually thinking about or watching games so not the best year for me to get into those.

Had the Aztecs too, they should have played in the Egg Bowl since they laid a big one.
Did have Marshall and the over last night.
Eventually we'll be through these games with two very mediocre teams against each other pretty soon. Like the Army/Houston game under tomorrow. I like a number of dogs winning outright next week. May have to have fun with a money line parlay.

Here's a funny one: I turned on the Bahamas Bowl. Steve Levy (a guy that's been on Sportscenter forever) is calling the game and says this after a QB was rushed:
"Turnovers are better than sacks".
Wow! Really? 😛

Neb, maybe this will help?
I always listen to Stanford Steve and The Bear's pick podcast. Each went 2-2 last week, SS had FIU +6 and they hit today, first underdog to outright win this year.
Their selections this week:
SS - BC +2 1/2, Wisc +3 1/2, Syracuse +1 1/2 (now pick 'eM), Vandy -4.
The Bear: Cal (PK), Purdue +4 1/2, Army/Hous under.
They both took Iowa St. +3 1/2. (When they both agree this year they're like 80%).
As The Bear says, "The less you bet the more you lose when you win." 😉
Good luck!

Missed my first game today in neb's pool........ 🙁

I had my best day of the bowls today, which I needed because it had been rough. 0-4 Saturday, W Tues, L Wed, L Thurs. But today I hit a total of 3 FIU bets (1st H, ML and game) and a 2nd H BYU bet.
Tomorrow I like Wake and Houston but am undecided on the UB-Troy and LT-UH games.
I like hearing who Steve and Bear like. I also like BC, but I will be taking Baylor not Vandy. I don't think I have formed opinions on the Bear picks.
Is Bear the guy that is on ESPN's College Game Day?
Oh and load up on Army. Kind of like Memphis but the line moved up to 3.5 from 3. I have an old friend that has a line about getting burned with "the hook" (the extra half point).
It's not PC so I can't post it. 😮

Yes he is the ESPN guy.
I'll tell you my perspectives on the WF-Mem and Army-Hou games and you can tell me what you like in the other sides.
With Memphis, I really believe they are a one man team. And that one man, Darrell Henderson, isn't playing in this game. Brady White is as much of a potential liability as he is potential play maker. Memphis has some competent other RBs but Henderson is the elite talent and game breaker, if more of the game is on White's shoulders, I like that for Wake. If Henderson was playing I do not think I would play Memphis...or Wake. I would just stay away. If you are looking at injury reports, you might see that the Hartman QB is out for WF, but the backup has played in the last 3 games and actually guided them to a 2-1 record. They say that if he was healthy to start the year, he may've beat Hartman out anyway. Greg Dortch being out for WF is a big deal. But I think missing a WR isn't that hard to replace...they basically make just 1 or 2 impact plays a game. He's the big play guy, but Washington was a bigger play guy than he has been this year so he can step up and the possession receivers are solid. WF OL is all upper classmen with over 150 career starts among them. They ran for over 300y in two of their last 5 games and they get 2018 #2 rusher Colburn back for the bowl (7th all time leading rusher). People think the WF D is bad...but Memphis isn't good on D either, they just have played lower profile teams so it has gone unnoticed. I am surprised that Memphis is favored and more surprised that the line has ticked up. Fine with me, that is my preferred way to bet on a team I like when other people don't like them.
With Army, we know how tough they are...and Houston has been a clusterf*ck at times. Here is the thing with Army, they play in alot of close, one possession games. They had to front door vs Colgate scoring late to win by 14 when they were one or two plays away from being able to take knees and kill the clock. Otherwise, 7 pt win vs Navy, 3 pt win vs AF, beat EM by 15, but Army actually blew a big lead and allowed EM to get within a couple pts before pulling away again, 1 pt win in OT vs Mia, O, beat Hawaii by 7 with Warriors throwing in EZ as time expired. Sure they have had their share of blowouts as well, but vs the athletes that Houston has, it has for me to not see the Cougs O having success. That is where academies struggle most, vs speedy athletic spread teams - which Houston is. QB King is out for UH and the backup has only played one game, the CUSA Title game vs Memphis (loss), but I think he has a pretty good skill set, just lacks the experience. I am going to trust that Houston O does ok today. On the other side, Army just smothers you and bleeds the clock by owning time of possession so even if you are the better, fast team, if the other team's O can't get on the field Army's D is less vulnerable (see Oklahoma game). One edge that Houston might have that some teams Army plays do not is that Houston plays Navy all the time. And Tulane is not a flex-bone triple option team, there are some similar principles. So Houston has some familiarity facing a team like Army. Coaching edge is a HUGE for Army over Applewhite, no question about it. And Army's motivation and determination to win this game, like every game, can't be questioned. But laying 6.5 with them vs a team that should be able to score when they have the ball? I think Houston has a chance to keep it a one possession game.
What are you thinking on those?
I really have no fears with Wake.
My fear with Houston is the mindset of the players, because this could be one of those games where Army cares and wants to play and Houston players just don't care. Happens all the time in bowls and that would be the Houston worst nightmare because while Army has allowed some teams to comeback on them this year, not sure a Houston team that falls behind will be motivated enough to want to do it. We should know early in the game how it is going to go down.

Okay Neb, you've got me on Wake also. Let's hope there isn't one for our wallets after the game. 😉
Not sure if it's suspensions, injuries or weather but just this morning the Army/Hous O/U dropped by 4 1/2 points. It would have to be a whole lotta $$$$ on it to drop it by that much so maybe a combination of factors. Glad I got it under when I did.

70-14 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮
Losing my butt in my bowl pool.
Had Memphis. Crazy ending.
Only game I got right yesterday was Army. Do you realize they only threw the ball FOUR times?!?!? Yet they scored 70 points. Did Houston really not expect them to run the ball? It's all they do.

Major Applewhite should've resigned immediately after that game. Those are the kinds of games that can happen in bowls...sometimes one team really just doesn't care. Wrong team not to care against. Pitiful.
This week should ramp up quite a bit. 3 games each day Wed - Thur - Fri and then a big day upcoming Saturday!
70-14 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮
Wow. I thought the final was 56-7. Props to Army but there has to be some serious dysfunction with Houston.
