Below is the once-classified chapter from a congressional report on the 9/11 attacks that addresses Saudi connections to some of the hijackers.

The "Saudi issue" Part 4 No. 20 refers to Osama.
Page 430 speaks for itself.
Page 438 says it was clear since 1996 that the Saudi govt. would not cooperate with the US on matters pertaining to Osama. (the reason stated is that he knew too much about their dealings and could expose them).
It was stated in a book I read that most of Osama's family works for the intelligence community, the Saudi intelligence community. He was regarded as being able to arrange financing for the activities in the Afghan war from the Arabs. Some of his family live in the US and have ties to the govt. (work for them). Nobody would admit they gave him money for a charity and then that money went for attacks, whether they knew it or not.
The govts. do not tell the truth about Osama. He had links to the intelligence communities in Saudi and the US even if just by virtue of family members, but he knows a lot more people than that. He had a US agent assassinated in Langley, he went with the hitman to watch the guy be shot; yet they want to say he was just a religious man in a cave obsessed with instituting Islam throughout the world. He was always far more than that, they even had their own name for him, Timothy Osman. He was affiliated with the intelligence communities of both Saudi and the US, as well as high level people in both governments.
Will the truth, the whole truth ever come out? No.
