Bruce Jenner The Diane Sawyer Interview

Did anyone else watch it? I watched it just to see what he had to say about all the controversy surrounding him. I liked his open, honesty, but I still have questions. He explained that he felt like he was a woman in a man's body. Yet he was attracted enough to three women to have married them and fathered children with them. Is that something homosexual men who can't deal with their homosexuality do? Is transitioning into a woman an easier way emotionally to be able to have the men that he secretly wanted and still be able to express his effeminate nature? Could he not have just found a homosexual man who wanted an effeminate woman and been in a happy, satisfying relationship with him without going thru hormones, plastic surgery he said is upcoming, and sexual re-assignment surgery later on (which reconstructs the male sex organ and builds an opening so the person can have sex with a man) ?For those who don't know how the procedure is done here is a link. IF you go thru the ENTER box you will see photos of what it looks like, and after that descriptions of how the procedure is done. It seems so extreme to go thru something like that just to be able to try to live as a woman when someone was born a man. There is also the other procedure where they transition a woman into man. Is transsexualism, trying to become the other sex a manifestation to become more acceptable to society when their actual orientation is homosexuality, but culturally it is more acceptable to become the opposite sex? In Bruce's case, I think it is good that he is being honest with himself, I just wonder would it be possible for him to express and explore his effeminate nature and inclinations dressing, and living as a woman, but without considering the surgery, which he said is way down the road? I think he is very brave and courageous and being authentic with himself to finally stop denying what he feels gives him joy and happiness. [Edited on 4/26/2015 by gina]

Unbelievable transformation. I thought he would just be some dorky guy dressing up and using make up, but he looks like a woman Have to wonder though are the breasts real (from hormones) or are they implants? I know Diane Sawyer will be doing a follow up. Wait till Kim goes shopping with HER. Every celebrity woman in California will be taken aback seeing this.

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) came under fire Monday after questioning whether Bruce Jenner, who now wishes to be known as Caitlyn Jenner, is still a Republican.

After Jenner appeared for the first time as a women on the cover of this month’s issue of Vanity Fair, Cohen took to Twitter to ask his nearly 13,000 followers: “Bruce came out as a Republican last April. Well is Caitlyn Jenner a Republican too?”

In a widely-viewed interview last month with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, Jenner said that politically, he’s “always been more on the conservative side” and that he identifies as a Republican.
“Is that a bad thing?” Jenner asked Sawyer. “I believe in the Constitution.”

Cohen’s comment drew swift backlash from a number of Twitter users, with at least one claiming that if a Republican had made it, “MSNBC would [be] talking 24/7 about how bigoted it is.”

Jenner’s transition and subsequent Vanity Fair cover drew widespread support from a large number of celebrities, including family members Kim and Khloe Kardashian. Jenner also broke a Twitter record previously held by President Obama by reaching 1 million followers on the social media site in just four hours. It had taken the president five hours to accomplish the same feat last month.
