Here is another site that posts Fox News lies. There are 70 pages to go through, so make a pot of coffee and get comfortable.

Americans Against The Tea Party?
A left-wing hate group site?

Right from the start they “feature “ Kennedy from an opinion show.
Still you can’t tell the difference between hard news and opinion.

I said quote a credible source.

I hear Walmart has a good deal on tinfoil this week... keep your windows covered!

Deny, deny, deny. Lie, lie, lie. That is muleman in 6 words.

Still waiting for examples of FOX News anchors incorporating lies into their newscast. Newscasts, not editorial programming. I'll even settle for one time occurrences, not lies that were told repeatedly for years afterward.

One example?

Evidently neither Politifact nor you can tell the difference between hard news and opinion.

Luckily for The American People, they fail. The People know better.
That could be a reason Fox News is the most watched, most trusted.

LOL Politifct is trying to bring Fox News down. Talk about seeing conspiracies where they don't exist and wearing a foil helmet. Grin

Your claim is total BS and you know it. Politifact is funded by nonpartisan foundations and is nonpartisan. They fact check all the major networks and report them on their site they don't single out Fox News.

Instead of lying about the facts you refuse to accept why not try to dispute the points where they expose Fox News for being non truthful? if you think they are trying to make Fox look bad please expose where they are making stuff up about Fox instead of making a blanket claim you can't defend.

[Edited on 2/11/2015 by Bill_Graham]

Somebody needs to fact check politifact.

Have at it.

Fox News is the most watched:

From end of 2014:

Primetime

Adults 25-54 Fox News 309,000 (up 2%) CNN 187,000 (even) MSNBC 174,000 (down 17%) HLN 118,000 (down 16%)

Total Viewers Fox News 1.779 million (even) MSNBC 600,000 (down 8%) CNN 528,000 (down 8%) HLN 337,000 (down 16%)

Total-Day

Adults 25-54 Fox News 216,000 (down 4%) CNN 127,000 (down 4%) MSNBC 110,000 (down 17%) HLN 106,000 (down 6%)

Total Viewers Fox News 1.058 million (down 4%) CNN 402,000 (down 3%) MSNBC 350,000 (down 12%) HLN 259,000 (down 13%)

So, the US population is 319 million at the end of 2014.

So, .9% of all people watch cable news

.56% watch Fox, .19% watch CNN, and .16% watch MSNBC.

Wow, that is something to be proud of - less than 1% of the population care enough to watch cable news.... so the "most watched" doesn't really mean anything....... and since they tell the truth 18% of the time, most trusted is also meaningless......... lol

Still doesn't hold a candle to network news:

Which of these shows closly mirrors the type of show seen on the nightly network newscasts?

There has been a very nasty witch-hunt like scandal regarding Brian Williams and a story he has told about being in a chopper in Iraq in 2003 that suffered RPG fire and had to make an emergency landing, while he was covering a story. People have accused him of lieing, saying he was not on the plane that took the RPG fire. What Brian actually said in the interview was that the plane in front of his and his took RPG and enemy fire. He did note even say his plane took the RPG fire, they just assumed that is what he meant. The NY Post said that Tom Brokaw thought he should be fired, but Brokaw issued a statement to Huffington Post saying that was not true.

"I have neither demanded nor suggested Brian be fired," Brokaw said in an email to The Huffington Post. "His future is up to Brian and NBC News executives."

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/president-nbc-news-just-sent-210400129.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/06/tom-brokaw-brian-wiliams_n_6630536.html?1423238572

I

Whose behind the witchhunt to call Brian's credibility into question?

I would say Brian.

I hate politics and consider myself neither a liberal or a conservative. I consider myself a free-thinker and one with about an ounce of common sense. So when things like this happen, I'm always amazed at the folks who quickly find "someone from the other side" who has done something similar - as if that makes it all okay. Mama said, "two wrongs never made a right".

edit: change happens to happen

I posted that O'Reilly quote almost entirely out of jest. No one on the "other side" from me is going to agree that Fox News is anything but perfect in every way.

Brian Williams has made his bed and now must lie in it. Pun intended. I'm actually shocked he hasn't been fired yet.

His daughter is also hotter'n donut grease. Grin

Fox News is not perfect in every way. See so you are wrong. Fox News is no better nor worse in terms of accuracy than any other 24 hour news station. It just lacks the liberal bias and instead has a conserative bent. That makes it filled with lies according to many who simply don't accept conservative viewpoints as legitimate. The Evening News with Brett Bair and Chris Wallace is far supreior to the newscasts on ABC, CBS and NBC in my opinion.

Any Fox News report on Benghazi. Any Fox News report on the ACA. Claiming Iraq still had WMD's long after it had been proven they didn't exist. The situation in Ferguson.

Ah you mean when they didn't agree to restate the talking points put out by the Democratic party. Ah you mean where they failed to ignore the findings of the Grand Jury that the officer in Ferguson acted in self defense. Got it.

FWIW, I could care less if they want to have an editorial bias in their programming, but don't piss on my leg and tell me it is raining, just be honest about it. Isn't that what you are clamoring for, honesty?

Are you saying that on opinion shows all that is talked about is the talking heads opinion? Then isn't all news opinion? You are OK with opinion shows spending hours claiming that Hillary was responsible for Benghazi even after GOP lead hearings could find no evidence? That it was OK to claim there were WMD's in Iraq after none were found? These are not lies? You are trying to make the distinction between news and opinion. Everything written is someone's opinion. However, when the opinion is presented as fact, as Fox News does, it is a lie if not true.

You need to learn about how News networks work. There is a thin line between presenting opinion and fact. Fox, MSNBC and CNN all blur it at times.

Check the thread topic. BRIAN WILLIAMS. He does not host an editorial program in a talk show format. Now he finds himself in hot water, and the impulse here is to trot out a totally different type of programming in an attempt to make a comparison. Why not compare apples to apples? So, the contention is that FOX personalities lie about their own opinions. Is that it? Good luck with that.

Steve Doocy, Kennedy, Andrea Tantaros, and Dana Perino, Britt Hume are paid to offer their opinions. Brian Williams was paid to deliver the news.

Of course I clamor for the truth, but I can watch similar programming on MSNBC and not expect dead-solid truth. The difference is I'm not out to point out examples in a totally different format as an attempt to discredit ANYTHING ever reported on NBC News.

Enough with the "they" crap. I read articles at NRO fairly often. I might not agree, but I read. Condescend much?

But, let's be clear on this.

Let's say that Megyn Kelly says with determination and confidence that the sky is purple. A website sources a youtube clip of her saying that in full context, then points out that she was, in fact, lying, because it can be proven that the sky is in fact blue. Are you saying that the website that made that proof is not to be believed simply because they pointed it out, or because they might be one of the liberals that you and so many others hate so much?

Par for the course would be in the relentless crusade to discredit anything said on FOX, the website would fail to mention it was dusk when Megyn made her comment, and there were indeed purple hues prominently visible at the time. And pink, and scarlet, light-red, and orange. And the hit and run is complete.

Here is another site that posts Fox News lies. There are 70 pages to go through, so make a pot of coffee and get comfortable.

http://aattp.org/category/fox-news-lies-2/

_____________________________________________________________________

Americans Against The Tea Party?
A left-wing hate group site?

Right from the start they “feature “ Kennedy from an opinion show.
Still you can’t tell the difference between hard news and opinion.

I said quote a credible source.

I hear Walmart has a good deal on tinfoil this week... keep your windows covered!

Deny, deny, deny. Lie, lie, lie. That is muleman in 6 words.

He's right about news vs opinion though, and you know that. Is the point of that site to cite
examples of people lying about their own opinions? Pretty deep.

It is called FOX News Channel, not FOX Op Ed Channel or FOX Opinion Channel. News. Their entire reason for being is to deliver news with a conservative slant and then tell us they are "fair and balance" and have "no spin zones." The documented lies are not limited to "lying about their own opinions" (whatever that means). And you know that.

Why not compare apples to apples?

What's the comparable apple on FNC?

I don't understand the difficulty in discerning when they shift gears from a discussion-type format into reporting hard news.

"Flight 103 had 73 passengers on board when the aircraft was forced to land in a cornfield north of Hastings, Nebraska......Now lets bring in Bob Beckel to comment on the rescue efforts and possible voting patterns of the EMT's."

Typical alloak taking someone else's words and applying his own spin to it and telling us all that he knows what they were really trying to say and avoiding the original point. SSDD

Sigh. You are so blind. Oh well.

But alas, the thread is not about me.

They never are.

You'd be surprised.

Nice non-answer.
