Sending people to prison for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives and incarcerated people for conduct that many states no longer prohibit,” Biden said in a statement. “Criminal records for marijuana possession have also imposed needless barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities. And while white and Black and brown people use marijuana at similar rates, Black and brown people have been arrested, prosecuted, and convicted at disproportionate rates.

That is a big change for Biden as he was always antidrug. Maybe it is a political play in his part but it is progress none the less.

Now we just need Congress  to legalize Cannabis or at least reschedule on a Federal level so the dispensaries in States where it is legal can take credit cards and bank like normal businesses.

Yeah, I don't care why or if it's a flip-flop from previous actions (people can change their mind), right now it's the right thing to do.

Full pardon!  Cool!  Hey, Joe - as long as you're forgiving student loans can these guys get their weed back?  😉

About f time, Joe!  Should have done this in the first six months of your presidency.  Thereby giving the House and Senate time to reschedule via legislation.  If the Republicans take the House the reschedule effort could end up going nowhere....And still might go nowhere anyway...
