I'm getting e-mails saying I'm part of a class action settlement with Ticketmaster. Anybody else getting these e-mails?
Yes I did and it is legit though largely a farce.
yea i did too, didn't look like much of a savings. i'll use it though i guess. i haven't checked but i'm guessing i get the max amount.
Haven't gotten one recently but I have had a few about Ticketmaster over the years. I've always ignored them because it just didn't look like it was worth pursuing. Class action suits are rarely worth the trouble for anyone except the lawyers.

Thing is, i can't remember going to anything where I bought tickets through Ticketmaster since about 2003.
Me too, saw the Stones in 2003, and Phil Lesh and Friends in 2003. This thing goes back further than that, maybe 2001, not sure.

I'm guessing I'll be catching quite a few $30 shows at HOB in Chicago in the next few years, or road tripping to Deer Creek where the lawn actually sounds decent.

sign into your account and look for the "Active Vouchers" link. right now it doesn't work real well so you may need to go to your live nation account to look.
Why are the same codes repeated so much?

Finally got through to my list and all there were are 17 codes each worth $2.25. Comes out to a total of $34 and change. That won't even get me into a single show. Those of you who got all of those free ticket vouchers must have bought a lot of tickets. I bought a lot myself and was expecting more vouchers with greater values. I guess not?
OK, now I am really confused. This is what it says in the instructions for redemption.
Class Members who made purchase transactions on www.ticketmaster.com between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, should anticipate receiving, on or around June 18, 2016, at least one Ticket Code redeemable for two tickets for General Admission seating at designated concert events at Live Nation owned or operated venues, subject to availability and limitations.
I have 17 codes that say they are worth $2.25 each but this says each code should be worth two general admission tickets to certain shows? What am I missing? Are these 17 vouchers worth the $2.25 each they say they are worth on my list or are they each worth two free general admission tickets to listed shows???
did you check "live nation" account? they are just adding this to accounts so keep an eye on it.

I also got 17 codes for $2.25 plus another 17 codes for 2 tickets. I looked at the concert list. Probably won't use the codes. I'd be happy with a 10 cents on the dollar cash settlement.

Steven Blonder, a principal at the law firm Much Shelist and a leading attorney on the Ticketmaster lawsuit, told The New York Times that the company sent an estimated $386 million worth of discount codes to nearly 57 million people. However, the terms of the settlement only require Ticketmaster to pay out $42 million, with at least $10.5 million paid out each year. Simple math tells you that not everyone will be able to put their free tickets to use.
The company says on their website that they will allow at least $5 million worth of ticket vouchers through May 2017, and up to $10 million depending on how many customers use the vouchers for discounts of $2.25 on any ticket order and $5 toward any UPS delivery of a ticket order. It’s not clear how many more concerts will become eligible over the coming months and years, how many free ticket vouchers will be able to be redeemed for each eligible event, or how long it will be before Ticketmaster fulfills all the terms of its settlement.
If I got the 17 codes for $2.25 each does that mean I should also be getting 17 more for tickets??? Do I at least get to add all of the $2.25 vouchers up on a single order? I don't understand how this works?

I went through the whole list and there isn't anything I don't either already have tickets for or that is closer than almost two hours away from Long Island where I live. Nothing on there worth a two hour drive back and forth. Guess I won't have to worry about redeeming anything.
Just went thru the list and there wasn't one damn show left.
The free show tix had nothing at the Jones Beach Theatre. That would be my preferred place to use my codes. I didn't look at places to use the discount codes, Maybe I'll have to do that.
