Swifty, I don't understand your post. I thought I was pretty clear in my CNN post that this was a related topic but different from the point I originally posted about. We are in agreement on that.

The point of the article is not that the media wants Clinton. It's that they don't want to focus on and have educated voters talking about actual important issues. Like you say, this has been going on for a long time but it's always worth pointing out because everyone still talks about politics in the terms that the mainstream media spoon feeds them. Just look at most of the topics and posts on this site.

I do agree that Vietnam - so far - has more casualties than Iraq - certainly more US deaths (50k+?) and just over 1 Million vietnamese vs. Irag 4k+ US and just about 1 million Iraqis.

Irag isn't over though and has spread around the region into Syria and pulled in Russia and many other countries. Will see how it ends but it sure looks to me like there is no end in sight and it is going to be a lot worse in the end than Vietnam. Let's hope not.
