As if things couldn't get any worse in Niners' land, young defensive star Aldon Smith was arrested again last night. He served a nine game suspension last season for his scuffles with the law.......now this. The defense is already decimated by the retirements of DE Justin Smith and linebackers Patrick Willis and Chris Borland during the offseason. And linebacker Navarro Bowman is questionable, trying to return from a horrible knee injury. They lost at least one starter in their secondary as well to free agency.

In March, Smith restructured his $9,754,000 salary into a series of bonuses. He'll make $322,150 for each game he is on the Niners' 53-man roster during the season, maxing out at $5,154,400.
Smith seems to have a penchant for drink. Making that kinda coin, he should hire a driver.
Breaking news: Niners have released Aldon Smith! I'm watching the news conference right now.
Coach Jim Tomsula: "Aldon Smith will not be playing here. But he WILL NOT be alone. We will help him. I want anyone out there to listen: If you need help, GO GET IT! It's out there."
I really like that message, and Jim Harbaugh's handling of Smith was far different, which may have had something to do with Harbaugh being let go. The Niners are making a statement that they are no longer going to stand for this kind of behavior.
