I have my long time email setup through my ISP (Comcast.) For quite some time I have been meaning to set one up, somewhere not tied to Comcast as I might not be a customer of theirs in the future.
Yahoo? Hotmail?
Any recommendations and/or gotcha's - as in, stay away from ____ because ?
Appreciate responses.

Gmail has good spam filtering.

I use Hotmail. It's pretty good. Had the same email since 1999!!!

Do you use an email client software such as Outlook or Thunderbird? Gmail provides free POP3/IMAP. Not sure if the others have matched gmail, but they used to require a premium (i.e., paid) account to get POP3/IMAP access.
