Not really a band I guess, more a '1-off' or whatever, but Pete Townsend/Ronnie Lane, "Rough Mix"

Rockpile

They did all play on three other records (2 Dave Edmonds, 1 Nick Lowe) - which actually means they did record together, but they only released one record under their band name.

Little Village - that's another one! (common element = Nick Lowe)

Perhaps a bit of a loose interpretation; but Blood Sweat and Tears with Al Kooper. Totally different that hat came later

Some good ones listed above.

I dont know if I would call these favorite bands, but I really liked what they did.

The Civil Wars

Queen with Paul Rogers

Coverdale Page

Michael Schenker Group . The lineup up of Schenker,Bardens,Powell,Raymond,Glenn made one album ,MSG. The best one that was ever put out by Micheal, not counting the UFO years.

It would have been interesting to see what Satriani would have done with DP, but they turned out pretty darn good with Steve Morse.

The last ABB lineup deserved another release of all ORIGINAL material.

Heaven and Helll(yeah I know,Sabbath, but diiferent name). I liked the last one they did with Dio. I wonder if tracks are laying around that did not get used.

Emerson Lake and Powell

Power Station

The Mighty Jeremiahs

Charlie Sexton Sextet

The Freewheelers

These two bands kinda flew under the radar. Not that well known, but had each had a real good release.
The Hammerheads
Gravy

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Ok, I am embarrassed that I didn't think to mention the Derek / Warren ABB here. Clearly the winner.

Good call on Arc Angels. Another I liked was Temple of the Dog.

Derek & The Dominoes may be the best of them all.

Hadn't thought of Heaven & Hell since it was basically Black Sabbath.....didn't love that record but they were a monster Sabbath lineup.....they only one credibility outside the original.

Phil Lesh & Friends ("PLQ") - There & Back Again.....very good album.

X2 Blind Faith & Beck Bogert & Appice Grin good ones -- technically the Dominos had a 2nd album, In Concert

...but really are known for their 1 album, Layla -- same thing w/the two 1972 releases, Captain Beyond, and "Why Dontcha" WB&Laing

yes each did 2 followups -- but were afterthoughts & a forgotten part of their catalogs after these two standout/standalone 1972 releases

what many say, by way of comparison, Reach For The Sky & Brothers of the Road were to Enlightened Rogues in that lineup's era

Crabby Appleton. They did have a second album that didn't chart but I thought the first was outstanding. Good call on BS&T with Al Kooper. Of course Blind Faith and Derek & the Dominoes.

Whoops, my bad -- thanks for pointing that out JJ

Anderson Bruford Wakeman & Howe -- it was basically a Yes album, but a different title
by the same token, Ace -- basically a Dead album but the only one under that 'title'
The Highwaymen? (they might've done more than 1, unsure)

the highwaymen, cash, nelson, jenning, kristofferson, made 3 albums.

technically the band anderson, bruford, wakeman, howe made a 2nd album that had a few songs added and was released under the yes banner as union
