You Never Know Who Will Show Up @ a Bay Area Blues Club

Like Mr. Elvin Bishop last night! Actually I got a tip from a friend via a text message that Elvin was going to show, so I got in the car and drove over, only 5 miles to Poor House Bistro. Elvin's band, Steve Willis and The Willing was on the bill, and sure 'nuff, Elvin showed. And this is a place with no cover. This is the one video I shot. Steve Willis, accordion (and keyboards), Bob Welsh, guitar.

Very cool....Thanks Rob

Bay Area rules for music! sounds great. And glad to hear Steve Willis is still alive and well, used to see him around all the time when he lived in Flagstaff, then hightailed for SF back in the early 90's. Sure looks different now! Never knew there was a scruffy bohemian under the suit and clean shave he used to have. Looks happier !

Cool video Rob. Thanks!
It sure did take that guy a long time to get that cowbell outta that duffle bag... 😮

Really like Elvin's guitar playing & songs. His early albums were great. I had a chance to see his bands in those early years with Mikey Thomas & Don Baldwin. From way back when...

Great stuff! The sound is way too rough in the second one. Who is the other guitarist with Elvin in Travelin' Shoes?

Those old vids are bit rough, but it's cool that we still have them. They represent good history. Here's a more recent version of Rock My Soul done a bit slower with obviously different set of band mates.
