I am. Been thinking about Duane all day. Funny...as I am in the midst of a new job offer/career change. Still...Duane has been at the forefront. What I wouldn't give to be old enough to have been around and experienced the magic live. Maybe a scorching Trouble no More??? Super-slippery DKMW? Would have loved to have been with my man WillieB live @ Littlejohn probably shaking my head in nirvana as the boys scorched an unfamiliar melody that would come to be adored in Blue Sky...after all, we are Clemson Tigers!!! Yeah...Duane changed my life. Ignited the passion for music in me. It has only grown stronger. The DA anthologys...SO seminal. They led to new artists/genres that keep expanding my tastes and musical boundaries. It's funny...it seems like I rarely listen to Duane-era. It has to be special...like its almost too sacred. Well...we're spinning Duane wax all night here in Charleston. Shrimp, bourbon and Skydog. Its gonna be a beautiful night.
LONG LIVE DUANE ALLMAN. THE ROAD GOES ON FOREVER.

Had the American University show on with a little bourbon on the side. I kind of feel the same about listening to the original lineup. Some sacred stuff there for sure. Listened to the 10-28-14 show yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.Nothing like the Brothers at the Beacon. However nothing matches the power and beauty of the 1st incarnation of the Allman Brothers Band.

Looking forward to the Idlewild South release too.

Long live the Allman Brothers Band!

Cranked WP/Mtn. Jam last night -- 55 minutes of music that sounds as good and amazing and dynamic today as it did 43 years ago

Hey Andrew! Great minds think alike! Been listening to early Brothers almost exclusively for the last week - 10 days! Got 08-26-1971 blasting here @ work this morning! Duane Wax, now that's how you really hear the warmth and growl from Duane's slide and Gregg's vocals, BO's Thunder & Dickies sweet melodies. Good luck with new job venture. Spent some time with 9-11-71 on the 29th. Not a great recording, but what memories! I was already on the bus, but hooked for life for sure after that night! What a great week we're in the middle of here: Gregg's interview on AXS last night and THE Clemson Tigers are on a roll! Hope they continue to take care of business on the field Go Tigers and long live the music of Duane Allman and The Allman Brothers Band!
