While I did not see any musicians I clearly heard bagpipes playing a song at Gregg's funeral as his family and friends entered the cemetery on the WMAZ live feed. Anyone recognize what song they were playing?
I've heard that song before, it's an old Scottish hymn I believe. Very pretty.
P.S. I am SO happy that both Dickey & Duane Betts were there and said goodbye to Gregg. Chank looked like he was really breaking down losing his lifelong best friend. He embraced Gregg's casket and one of the other people in attendance helped him stand back up fully. Marc, Cher, Derek and Susan and all of Gregg's kids nice seeing them all there.
One thing I liked, was hearing the birds sing when the service started. I think Gregg would like God's own music being played when he was laid to rest.
Geez I hate this day.
28 years ago this very week I was joyfully buying tickets to see Gregg and the ABB in concert for the very first time, such a happy time, now I am saying goodbye to someone who means so much to me and is such a huge and meaningful part of my life. Been crying all day.

It's a tough day for all of us, but take comfort in the fact that fans all over the world are grieving, I so wish I could be there. What a beautiful site to see all the fans lining the streets. Time to play Brothers and Sisters since we all are today.

What happened to Deering Howe, front and centre in the B & S picture?
Did he remain part of the band's entourage? A quick Google search suggests that he was still a close friend of Gregg in 2008.
That was Devon, Gregg's son, comforting Chank by Gregg's coffin.
The only footage I could find of one of the musicians playing the traditional Irish bagpipes song The Minstrel Boy send off tribute to Gregg. At 00:04 in. Anyone know if she's a local Macon Musician or who she is?
