John Mayall & The Allman Brothers Band - "I Still Care" from the album Room to Move 1969 - 1974

The credit says John Mayall and The Allman Brothers Band. But that is all I can find. Who played on it? When was it?

I remember researching this 4-5 years ago when I found the song. It doesn't sound like the ABB playing on it to me. I also couldn't find anything to support that it was.

My memory could be faulty and someone may offer more accurate information.

Bottom line I concluded it was the ABB on the song.

I think that is just some freak thing coming from Johnny Almond being on the album. The Allmans are not.

I'm listening to it and nothing on this track sounds like anyone from the Allman Brothers, especially the saxophone and harmonica. Maybe Chuck on electric piano but the "Allman Brothers" attribution is probably a mistake.

I did read that Mayall covered "Revival" in the late 1970s with Cornell Dupree and Randy Brecker. Apparently it's the only Mayall album (Bottom Line) to never get a digital release, so I can't find a sample of it anywhere online.
