This is a fun thread, lots of great artists listed already that I listen to all the time (ABB, TTB, dTb, Cream, Howlin' Wolf, etc.), but here's some of my all-time faves that you guys who like Jazz, acoustic Blues and Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar might want to check out:
Buena Vista Social Club (with Ry Cooder and Eliades Ochoa)

Gabby Pahinui Hawaiian Band (with Ry Cooder and Sonny Chillingworth) (1974-1978)

In the order I discovered them:

Some combination of Beatles, Dylan, The Band, Dead, Stones, Derek & Dominos, Jimi, Wilco, Radiohead, Panic, The National would round out the rest.

all bands and projects involving Warren Haynes
1973-earlier Rolling Stones
