I'll do artists instead of bands.

Clapton (I think Derek and the Dominos might be the best album ever, and I would put that band #1 on any list by leaps and bounds. I just LOVE that Layla album.)

ABB

The Band

Those three are in an echelon well above everyone else listed below.

Patrick Sweany

Derek and all his projects

Otis Redding

2Pac

OutKast

Biggie

Jay-Z

Felt bad leaving Little Feat, Skynyrd, Floyd, Ramones, XTC, Who, Zappa, Talking Heads, Patti, NY, Warren Zevon, Frank Marino, and Elvis Costello off the list, but 10 it is.

Top 3 will always be The Who (always No.1), ABB, Elvis Costello.

Next 7 vary in preference according to mood, at the moment it's

Gov't Mule, Gabriel-era Genesis, Graham Parker, The Band, Peter Gabriel, Mark Kozelek/Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon, Admiral Fallow.

Could be swapped at any moment for Jill Scott, Jason Isbell, Derek Trucks Band, Eels, Dwight Yoakam, Bruce Springsteen, Drive-by Truckers, Average White Band, Byrds, Temptations, Miles Davis, Man, Ben Harper.
