I guess it is time for me to starting going to Mule shows more often.

I'll be third row center for 11/8 in Ann Arbor. Anyone else going?

ABB haven't been out west since Christ was a cowboy and we are getting along fine. You will survive.

Warren won't forget the folks west of I75.

I will be at The State Theater a few rows behind you next weekend. Row M, I think. This will give me just enough time to shake out the rest of the cobwebs from my whirlwind few days in NYC! (Went to the 27th & 28th shows!!!) I knew I was in rough shape when a coworker asked me on the day I went back to work... "So, when will you be returning to work?" I still don't feel like I'm completely back. Mule will be a blast! 😛

I've never seen Widespread Panic live, although I have many of their recorded shows.
Maybe it's time! Cool

Jason Isbell will be who I will be spending my money on to see live. He weaves a realistic and touching story into most of the songs he writes. He even throws in a little slide guitar. I've seen him live several times, and he makes an almost tangible connection with his audience

ANDERS OSBORNE is my favorite these days. His band jams Crazy Horse style. Check out this show from Phases of the Moon festival.

Please go see some new music, There are so many options beyond the Mule and TTB. Like Anders and much more. Go see Lettuce, Eric Krasno. If you are in NYC, go to Smoke on Monday nights. It is B3 night and you will be amazed and it will only cost you a drink. I just saw the Jeff Sipe Trio in Charlotte last night. What a great time for $10.

Exactly. Lots of excellent bands and musicians can be seen for not that much money at all.

I like mule but they're nowhere near as good as they were when Allen Woody was alive.

Certainly no lack of options here by the Bay. Several weeks ago I saw The Daniel Castro Band (Daniel Castro, guitar/vocals) joined by Gary Smith (harmonica) and Mike Mongiello (guitar). These are some real, REAL heavy Bay area dudes and they blew the walls off of Don Quixote's in Felton. Cost me a big $12.

Tomorrow night I'm going to Chris Cain at Little Lou's BBQ, one mile down the road from me. It's Mr. Cain's regular second Monday of every month gig at Lou's and it's no cover. Want to know what level Mr. Cain and his band are on? Last summer they played Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago. That should make it a little more clear. Cain plays guitar, keyboards and sax, sings everything, and writes most of his material.

If you've got 13 minutes, pour a cold one or light one up and listen to Chris cry his damn eyes out.
I shot this on 8-11-14.

In just the last few months I've seen Zac Brown Band + other bands at Music Midtown, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Lyle Lovett's Large Band, Jason Isbell & 400 Unit and John Hiatt together, Lake Street Dive (whoa is Rachael Price is talent!) and we have Gregg & Friends + St. Paul & the Broken Bones up for the Holidays. I'm sure I'll squeeze in something else before year's end (maybe Black Keys, Hardworking Americans, Brian Setzer Orchestra's Christmas performance or Fleetwood Mac).

What a show in A2!!! Michigan theater is quite a venue. I got a 1st set copy while hanging out by the stage at the intermission! The tech that handed it to me also let me know that Warren would be willing to sign some stuff after the show out back. He was correct. After he signed a couple drum sticks that a young girl had, he signed my 2 Beacon posters (March & October) and my ticket stub from the 10/28 ABB show!!! Warren is a class act all the way!!!! He took his time to take pictures and sign whatever his fans handed him. Really cool guy!!! Thanks Warren!
