Watkins Glenn Summer Jam '73 question

In what order did the Band, GD and ABB take the stage that day on 7/28/73, and whose set was the Not Fade Away, Mt. Jam, Johnny B. Goode encore part of?

Dead-Band-Brothers.
I think everyone joined the Dead for the Jam?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Was that big encore played at the end of the GD set or later after ABB wrapped up?

I wasn't there.....but I believe the jam was at the end of the evening. All of the musicians
were pretty much out of it by then.....and this showed in the results.

guess you just had to be there

...if you were there you prob wouldn't remember it

The final jam took place AFTER the Allman Brothers Band, who was the third and final act on the bill.
The original jam setlist Not Fade Away/Mountain Jam/Johnny B. Goode was first circulated back in the 90s with the Grateful Dead set. But this was not complete, and not in the right chronological spot.
A more recent, complete audience recording of the Band's set came into circulation with most of the jam (sans "Johnny B. Goode", which is missing from the recording).
Rick Danko of the Band was the first to take the stage, and he sang a few solo numbers. Afterwards, other artists joined in (Garcia, Betts, Weir, Helm) can be heard on the recording. However, Rick Danko obviously dominates the first half of the jam session.
Jerry Garcia's guitar is very prominent in the second half of the jam, especially "Mountain Jam."
Bob Weir sings "Around & Around", the Chuck Berry tune. This was originally placed during the Grateful Dead's set (before "Loose Lucy"). However, it is now definitely part of the final jam.
Here are my links to old vines that I did with some of the above material:

I wasn't there.
My friend told me Watkins Glen was all about the "soundcheck" the night before.
I did catch The Band open for The Grateful Dead at Roosevelt Stadium a couple days later.

The order for the sound check on 7/27 was ABB - Band - Grateful Dead.

BarrySmith, thanks for all that. So who plays on that Around & Around besides Bob Weir. I've had the GD Watkins Glen set on CDR for years now, and, like most, I just assumed Around & Around was the first set closer (as it typically was for many years).

Baba, some of the best versions I've heard were done by a band with Dave Torbert and Bob Weir Kingfish.
