Quite sure this was made 3-4 years ago when the group putting it together was still crowd sourcing donations to complete the project. I tried donating but they never collected, pretty sure bc they didn't get enough overall commitment dollars to move things forward.

That group since reorganized I believe into what is now Summer Jam LLC, a for-profit entity that switched up the funding model. You can now "invest" into the project in exchange for some economics, which all assumes of course this goes on to get made and picked up by a streaming service / advertisers, etc.

Clearly they needed to sweeten the pot by changing things

Last I saw they were still struggling to gain commitments, like $50k or something so far....

I again tried to get in on that and it's been a confusing experience to say the least. Communication is really poor but I applaud them for not taking my money if they don't have confidence they can actually get this done.

Dickey once commented how long it took Jerry Garcia to get to the stage in a car. It's was several hours but I can't remember exactly how many. Jerry wasn't in the mood to take a helicopter over the huge crowd.
