They might be the best songwriting duo of the 70's. I think they are as good as Lennon and McCartney. The run of albums from Can't Buy a Thrill- Gaucho might be the best of the "classic rock" era.

I might even describe them as a "thinking man's Lennon/McCartney". Jazz sophistication with lyrics of the sense of humor that easily fly over the heads of so many. I catch Steely Dan whenever possible!

Timeless and never out of style. I can listen to any of their records and feel like it was created today.

Love the first album and one of my all time favorites is The Royal Scam. They have some wicked songs performed by great musicians.
