For some of us in certain spots in MSG on Tuesday, the mix had some bad moments. One such moment occurred in Dreams, when we could not hear a single note of Derek's lengthy solo. However, we still enjoyed the massive groove that the band was serving up.

Here is a video that captures it.

What I will say is that if you play guitar, this video is a GREAT thing to jam over, like the ultimate "backing track." No joke.

I thought Dreams was great on PPV surprised by a negative comment yesterday.
Mix explains it.

VTAB, Warren's solo was stellar. I still haven't heard Derek's.

Dreams is a favorite, pretty sure it was clear on PPV. Nice night of music

Derek was too low in the mix for Dreams (and I was right by / above the soundboard).

Then, they corrected that for the very next song (Soulshine) and brought him back up, except now Warren (and just Warren) was noticeably too low for the next 2 songs.... including his signature lead in Soulshine then Standback.

Warren was back up in the mix by Jessica and for the rest of the night but not quite as dominant in the mix as he was the first 10 songs of the night (which I kind of preferred).

Overall, that was clearest that Chuck Leavell was ever in the mix compared to his his 20 times he sat in with the final version of the ABB. Vocals were good. A few times I would have appreciated Reese's solos being higher in the mix, but he was really really good and creative. Almost had a horn sound at times when he was playing in synch with Derek.

And overall, it was really good sound for an arena show.
