First pro video of Friends of the Brothers with very special guest Jaimoe 4/27/24, as we prepare for another show announcement w Jai. Check out" Statesboro Blues"  below, and all tour dates and ticket info here -> https://bit.ly/3hQ30NV

6/23, City Winery NYC

7/11 The Keswick Theater, Glenside, PA

This was, of course, so much fun and so happy and proud that Jaimoe decided to do this.

Sounds way good!! Brought back nice memories.

Wonder how many times Jaimoe has played that song. Jaimoe was on stage at the very first Allman Brothers Band concert in 1969.

Jai Johanny Johanson or something like that in the beginning.

Think is name is actually Johnny Lee Johnson of Gulfport, Mississippi.

79 years old.

Yes, Brothers & Sisters was the last album to refer to him as Jai Johanny Johanson - then Jaimoe after that - largest ups to the brother

Andy, great player (all of them), he gave Statesboro just enough of that Duane familiarity but playing his own licks too - great clip

Thanks guys. It was, of course, a blast. And we can't wait for those other ones coming up. Hope some of you can join us. No one else doing it quite like us if I may say so.

Of all the unknown instrumentals, Berry’s Jam, Left Turn, Madness of the West, Dona Maria - JJ’s Alley is the one that floors me - love it that it was only a stage song for one summer, 1999, Derek’s 1st year - my copy is June 26 Mansfield (Tweeter)

Dickey Betts had an amazing ear for composition - this is stone cold bebop jazz In The Hands Of Masters - ins & outs, tricky jazz-specific time changes … ‘this is this band at its very best’ I often think of this sweet DAT recording I haven’t heard in too long (honing in on cassette deck)

none more a master than the guy it’s named after, brother Jaimoe - awesome to see him doing some Friends of the Brothers gigs - keen to see the updates Alan mentioned - you guys rock🎶🤙🍄🎼

@mulemewarren I'm biased, but Junior is the best at this, and I thought that long before we formed this band. It's why I wanted to do it!

Yes Al, I've caught a couple of your shows and Jr has got the Gregg vocals and killer on the guitar.  Went to the Roots Rock Festival in the Catskills last summer and he made my week sitting in with everyone. Gotta check out his Acoustic Blues in NYC. 😎

“Renaissance Man: a person whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas”

It says everything - Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band - 13 years after its release, a joy to this day - just spun it - just don’t see how they could top it!🎼🎶😀😁

dig the Friends of the Brothers clip, oya🤙
