I’ve seen this. Cool story but the mix of real video footage with acting portrayals kind of sucks.
This was horrible. The reenactments were among the worst things I've ever seen in a music documentary. Of course, as always nobody named Van Halen was involved.
Which paints Sammy and Mike in a bad light for being involved with such a terrible production. From the interviews I've read/seen, it seems they were under the impression it was going to be a very legit and meaty documentary. Think Janie was right in that Blabbermouth article about it being an embarrassment for everyone involved (blatant dig at the ex-members as well as the documentary makers).
