UFO-Last Orders-50th Anniversary Tour Dates

These are over seas, so hopefully there will be some NA dates.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Look forward to some dates in North America. The show that I saw on the last tour was one of the best that I have seen in a very long time. Absolutely surprised by how good they were. Vinnie Moore put on a spectacular guitar display. Phil Mogg sounded as good as he did in the 70s and at times maybe even better.

Nice
It was a great high school make-out song... once!

Unfortunately I missed that tour. I think Phil still has the pipes. His recorded vocal tracks on the Salentino Cuts I feel are some of his best studio vocal work. If this is really it, he is going out on top!!!!

I was amazed at how good Phil sounded.
I think not being a screamer, screacher or high range guy helped keep his voice intact better and longer. Paul Rodgers is a similar type of singer and still has his voice.

Sort of the anti-David Lee Roth? 😛

Got tickets to see them at the RITZ in Manchester on the 16th March. I have seen every UK TOUR since 1980. Im sure gonna miss these guys when they bow out.

I'd go if this came to Atlanta. I got into UFO via my brother right when they were ending in about 1984. We wore out Strangers in the Night and then got into select tracks from the Paul Chapman era (his final album with the band Making Contact is underrated).
They have not played Atlanta in over 35 years. Lots of the British hard rock bands of the 70s/80s who still tour skip here. Maiden is coming this summer for the first time in 6 years (will be a shed sellout). Before that it had been 15 years (Blaze version of band) and 6-7 year prior to that with Dickinson.
Anyway, I'll put on some UFO tonight!

I wish I had more opportunities over the years but when they played Montreal in 2017 - it was the first time ever. Hard to believe but it was. Amazed that UFO missed a party city like Montreal during the crazy days.
We missed out on UFO, Gary Moore and others who didn't play here often and even less as the years past especially Gary.
Sad that they are closing up shop as they are still absolutely killing it. Paul Raymond looks like a vampire as he hardly ages. Andy beat the shit out of the drums. An absolute killer show and as I mentioned, Vinnie Moore is as good as it gets. 30 minutes of the last 40 are basically just solos.
As always I can't think of UFO without remembering our old friend OldDirtRoad. Kenny would have been pushing for those Southern shows too, Tim.
If you get the chance, well worth it for sure.

I really like the Chapman era just as much as any other. Making Contact is very good and probably has my all time fav UFO song.
When it's time to rock
If some folks did not have much of that era I HIGHLY recommend the compilation

I always liked Paul Raymond in what he brought to the band and MSG.
I do not use Facebook all that much, but I have messaged him a few times he got back with me . Well I assumed it was him. Very nice person.
Always have been a big fan of Parker. One of my favorite drummers. I thought it was pretty cool when Jason Bonham was in the band.
This is "Showtime" a live concert video with JB.

It would be nice to hear a few more Vinnie and Chapman songs in concert.

Schenker really out does himself on the solo from this performace.
Go to the 2:50 Mark and He starts to work that V over.
Awesome solo and great band.

I do not know UFO's work at all, but I've been re-reading the very good book "Van Halen Rising," and UFO gets a mention. This book is a very detailed, thoughtful look at Halen's early days, who these guys were growing up, their rival bands, and their whole evolution as a club band before they got signed. One step toward them getting signed was that they landed a gig opening for UFO (I think in 1976), and really prepared for it, and absolutely killed, and that got them plenty of press.

I have been wanting to read it. I have heard good things about it.
