hoping some technically proficient friends can help me. I use bit torrent 2.2.1 to download. it asked me if I wanted to upgrade, which I did. Now I can't download from my sites. How do I remove utorrent 3.4.3 and replace with utorrent 2.2.1? or, is there another torrent that works on dime?

A couple of months ago i switched to qBittorrent. Works well with all torrent sites i use (like Dime which probably is my favorite). After years of using Bittorrent without issues i started to have issues with it which i couldn't help with upgrading either. It often froze / didn't respond any more and restarting didn't help and only prompted a message that the program was already in use).
Probably the best thing to do (although i'm everything from "technically proficient" 😛 ) is to download a new torrent program but not immediately installing it. Next step: completely uninstall the previous torrent software and then install the new one. Good luck!
qBittorrent is fast and light and worth a try. I got tired of uTorrent when it went to the blinking-ads version.
the old uTorrent has been burdened with bloatware. If you want the older version back, download it from someplace like oldapps.com and proceed as usual.
