I listened to the archive recording today while working. The whole show is crazy good, but that "Ain't Wasting Time" was nuts - even more like the Eat A Peach version than the Allman Brothers had been playing it during the last 14 years. This is the first TTB Beacon run I've missed in a few, and this runs seems pretty stellar.

Been to three shows in this run. Wednesday was the one to beat and I dont think it's gonna happen (tonight being the final night).
People underestimate Nels because he is not in a "guitar band" but he can hold his own. Seen him at one of The Last Waltz recreations doing "Further on Up the Road" and he ripped it there too.

That clip of Wasting Time was a soaring thing of beauty. Even through crummy net audio and tiny speakers it was moving. Jaimoe was a great part. Nels played like a 300 pound man. There was channeling, transcendence, and magic going on.... Derek smiling big...... Yowza, thanks for post!

very cool - they were flying!!!

Nels is a VERY talented guitar player no doubt. Sometimes I thought he was really in the groove of the song and others I just thought he was going away from it with his style. Just me I guess.
