TTB on Tiny Desk

Thanks for posting, watching now.
Funny to see so many people crammed into that room.

Susan's so damn sexy. Love her.

Nice to see Kebbi dropping the saxo-mojo on da TinyDesk world.
We can't wait for the west coast tour.

That was a treat. They really have a nice balance, where every player contributes, and they groove like mofos. They also (and most importantly) wrote excellent songs for this record.
The joy that pours out of them is palpable. That is great stuff.

I, too, loved the "show."
I'm not looking to argue with WFR, but, conversely, I wish Kebbi would actually play some melodies in his solos. That's my only "beef" with this band. Otherwise, I love, love, love this group.

That was my first thought as well..... This really is a creative series, it has showcased so many great performances with such diverse styles. Invested quite a few hours watching what is available on You Tube...

My experience is that it completely depends on the song EasyMichael. In "Just as Strange" he gets strange. Yet what I saw at the Warner over the course of three nights is that he gets melodic more than he gets dissonant.

I'm envious that you could attend all three nights of that run! Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes. Love the band but don't hear much here. Not in the same universe as Ron Holloway or Bill Evans.

He reminds me a little of Ornette Coleman. I'd be interested in an interview where he talks about his influences and what drives his style of playing and his niche within the band.
