Excellent show and a very good audience recording at

The details show the person recording was about 5 rows behind us.

Thanks for that! I was a great show, we were in the 10th row. Two interesting points about it though-

1) The TTB equipment was entirely set up after the Sharon Jones / Dap Kings set. So the crew was in scramble mode to set it up. Is that normally the case this tour? It means there was no sound check if so. Which may account for my next observation.

2) Susann was really po'ed at something right out of the gate. My wife noticed it after about 30 seconds. She stared at the floor while playing and never made eye contact with any one in the band until at least halfway thru the set. And then it was minimal at best. Her normal walking around and looking back and smiling did not happen at all until near the encore. And Derek seemed to be standing watch over her staying in one spot behind her, but kept his distance. In all that I remember a recent comment he made that she played better when she was ticked off and needless to say her solo in St James Infirmary was as screaming a solo as I have seen from her(6 shows). And Dereks overall playing, especially in Midnight in Harlem was also a best ever for me. Did anyone else notice?

I missed the Boston show because of vacation (Derek you really need to check with me before scheduling a tour next time). Just listened to the NH show and it SMOKED. Loved the Maki Madni jam during Idle Wind. The new tune with Doyle is great. Agree that St James Infirmary was great too. Hopefully they will make their usual fall stop in the area and I'll catch them then.
