I am aware that songs from streaming services cannot be burned to a cd. But I am trying to burn songs that I purchased on I tunes. My computer says they are in the cloud. but I don't understand why, if I purchased them, I can't burn them. Or, do I need to move them from the cloud to my computer? And if so, how?

Am hoping someone with greater knowledge than me can clarify!

Thank you.

In iTunes you should be able to download. From iTunes, you can make a playlist of downloaded songs and rip to a cd. This assumes you are doing this from Mac or pc.

Agree, that is what I tried to do and have always done and I have had no problem.

The items I was trying to burn today were originally downloaded on my I phone first. In the past I always downloaded to my PC. But as I purchased these items, ( not streaming items) why should it matter? All I know is my PC showed these items in the cloud. When I put them in the playlist, a notice came up that not all items would be able to be burned to the playlist.

Never had this issue before. Welcome any ideas as to how to fix!

thank you.

Is there a litle cloud picture to the right of the track? If you click on that, it should download it so you can then do whatever you want, ie burn

well, it came to me this morning! Although my I phone automatically links to iTunes, the opposite isn't true. Meaning that songs I bought on my IPhone don't automatically link up to my home computer! So I connected my I phone to the computer, pulled up I tunes, and synched the songs. Easy peasy....

thanks to al who helped !

Glad you got it to work. If you use the same Apple ID on you iPhone as your itunes, you should be able to download the songs directly from iTunes on you computer.

I was just about to click and tell you to do that. As always, I am too late to the party. LOL - Glad you got it figured out.

Times have changed. When we were young, we listened to the albums sitting in a Cloud.

Now we download from The Cloud.

The younger version was better. LOL
