I sure am missing our annual jaunts to catch an Allman Brothers show. Well tonight in Greenville SC, there's an ABb tribute band playing a free show that is well worth the drive. True Blues will perform one of their semi-annual shows as True Blues & Friends - AKa The Fillmore Brothers - 2 hours of nothing but ABb material and to my ears they are one the best at recreating the musicianship needed to pull it off. They will be joined on stage by some of the upstate's best musicians. We saw them open for Tinsley Ellis at the Handlebar several years back and they did several ABb tunes in their set and we were blown away by how good they were. the show is @ the small amphitheater, behind the Peace Center. Nothing like some mid-week ABB music to cure what ails you!

For those up north, Devon will be at BB's October 30th, and you know like minded musicians have a way of showing up to support him!

WOW just WOW. I knew it was going to be good, but it was AWESOME. Bill Papas from Athens Ga had Duane's tone and sound down as good as any player I've ever heard. Everyone was locked in on reproducing the AFE experience as close to the original as humanly possible. Probably 400 or so mostly old hippies like me, enjoying a rather cool for late august evening listening to great musicians paying tribute to the best live album ever released. If you ever hear these guys are doing this again, and they do it a couple of times a year, Go. Bluedad & Dave y'all NEED this band @ GABBA. Thank YOU True Blues for the most enjoyable evening of music I've had in a long long time ( I've seen TTB & GA twice this year!)

Ok! I found some videos of these guys from an earlier show they did at the Handlebar. The link should take you to Done somebody Wrong, but three more will load after that one: Blue Sky, Liz Reed, & One Way Out! Enjoy!

OC these guys are playing in Charlotte on Tuesday 09-27 at the Neighborhood Theater. Great little venue, Just might have to make the drive to see these guys. I've heard only great things about their shows.
