Thought I would share a rather detailed dream I recently had. It undoubtedly stemmed from the upcoming MSG show, a list of artists recently mentioned, my desire to deal with oak trees rather than subways, etc. I literally woke up and wrote a bunch of it down. So here goes:

I had this dream that we were at Wanee in our same 2 RV spots in the middle of the loop, and it was sunny. And the lineup/list/pipedream/ went something like:

The Brothers (Saturday headliner)
Widespread Panic (Friday headliner)
Black Crowes reunion (Thursday headliner)
Little Feat with new guitarist Scott Sharrard (Wednesday at Mushroom stage headliner)
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Gov't Mule
Les Brers (with Duane T. playing for Butch)
Jaimoe's Jassz Band (and Junior Mack was doing an additional thing, can't remember what)
Jack Pearson Band (he's also there with Les Brers) & he'd be playing with the Brothers
Jimmy Herring's Band at the time (he's also there w/ Panic) & he'd be playing with the Brothers
Oteil and the Peacemakers
Scott Sharrard and Jay Collins Band
Ron Holloway was there
Bill Evans on sax was there
Randall Bramblett was there
Audley Freed and Luther Dickinson both were special guests with the Crowes....
Jimmy Hall was floating around
Pat Bergeson was blowing the harp with everyone
Blackberry Smoke was playing before the Black Crowes on Thursday
Allman Betts Band
The Lee Boys
North MS All Stars were there
Jeff Sipe was there with his trio that includes Taylor Lee, thus pretty much all of ARU was there
Warren was playing a Saturday acoustic morning show
Marcus King Band was there
One morning on the Mushroom Stage various musicians were going to have a tell favorite Col. Bruce stories time (?)
Al was going to interview Jaimoe one morning at the mushroom stage about when the band almost expanded to horns w/ Shorter, etc (this had come up before at a previous Wanee)
The Word was there (with Luther, Robert Randolph), and because John Medeski was there; strangely Medeski, Martin, Scofield, and Wood was there...thus Scofield was going to be a special guest with Mule
......

And then I woke up, like WTF?! Pretty unhappy it was just a dream. Then really frustrated that it wasn't actually happening haha. Then I darn near got furious when I thought this actually could happen in real life but probably wouldn't. But by god it was one of the best music festivals in the history of southern music festivals, and it made me laugh and smile for a bit. Felt like the first Bonnaroo (for those that remember that lineup in the jam world). It was the ultimate Wanee/Allmans family experience, and man was it awesome. Just thought I'd share, figured some of yall would get a kick out of it. Carry on. And I look forward to seeing some of yall in NYC soon Smile

The worst thing is that I just bought tickets off a scalper for this dream show for $250.

Hahah good one Jim. If this lineup actually happened at Wanee I'd buy your ticket for you if it was only $250....considering that's what most of us are paying just to see the first band on the list for one night Smile

Hello everyone, long time no post. I just bought two tickets and got reservations at the Beacon. My wife and i always went for our birthdays for a Beacon run every year for over a decade and always enjoyed the parties with all of ya'll. So if you see an old guy with the 2001 twin towers shirt on at the hotel or MSG say hello and remind us who you are. Feel like a kid waiting on Christmas!

Yea Rob, it was the more obscure things that were so specific, really weird. Some of it was just like that’s what’s expected. In my dream I was actually holding the booklet with the calendar looking at it. I immediately woke up and started writing it down on a page in a book of my daughters haha. For what it’s worth last night I had a dream I was trying to get to Sarajevo in Turkey (it’s not in Turkey) in the back of an Uber to see someone. The car was not anywhere near Turkey 🙁
