Wow. Forrest Hills would be wild ! Though not everyone's favorite since there's no running water (all porto johns) and the stairs up to the stadium are not very user friendly for people with any disabilities, age or drinking issues.. 😉 but it's a very cool, small outdoor venue.

I saw the Replacements there a few weeks ago and it was a great time. I struck up a conversation with the head building engineer. ( I guess they want to update the place as a real venue) he told me the Who would be playing there and I didn't believe him. Guess he was legit.

Lot's of venues to choose from for NY'ers. Gonna be great !

Sounds good, but I do not see the word final in any of the announcement, only this:

“This is the beginning of the long goodbye,” says ROGER DALTREY of the upcoming tour."

It probably is the last one, but you never know w/ them.

I trust this band to do nothing correctly. I'm sorry but playing MSG barely a week or so after Entwhislte died was my final straw

I regret not seeing the last Quadrophenia tour. What I've seen on television seems to lack energy and Daltry's vocals seem strained. Yet, that album was a main stay of my youth.

I'll probably catch at least one of these shows. For old time's sake.

Rog & Pete said it in a couple of interviews.

The Tours insurance company forced them to tour as entwistle was considered a touring musician due to his health issues and not a member of a band according to the tours insurance policy. If they hadn't toured they would have been sued by insurance co and risked losing millions. This is info from an article in Billboard Magazine.

Yeah, well, the beginning of the long goodbye, I thought, started with the 1982 farewell tour. Or 1989. Or 1994. Or 2002. In any event, I am always up for a good Who show if prices and scheduling permit. We shall see.

John would have wanted them to carry on. I saw the second show of that tour here in the Bay area..........I will NEVER forget it. They were letting out their pain onstage...........it was emotional, it was furious, it was pure WHO passion.

This thread is aptly titled The Who Final Tour 2015. Not to confused with the other Who final tours - previous or future. Grin

Yep. I had the honor of attending a show on the FIRST Farewell Tour in 1982...;)

It was at the Pontiac Dome in Detroit Mi and in all fairness to the Who, it was a damn great show ...

Chronic tinnitus is going to force me to miss this one though but God bless the lads.

Well....they're not lads anymore but then....neither am I ...:)

May be the last chance to see them so I scored decent seats for the Boston show for the lower level. Expensive but not even close to what ti costs to see the Stones this past tour.

I saw the farewell tour in 89, Stevie Ray opened and blew them off the stage.

I'll pass on The Two.

Tried to like Face Dances & It's Hard, couldn't quite get there tho -- no Keith, no Who

I will go to see Pete Townsend "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" forever. I'm hoping to score a ticket for the MSG show scheduled for October 2015 and praying that Roger will keep his shirt on this time.

Just picked up the surround sound blu-ray of Quadrophenia. It is definitely worth it - also one of my favorites. It reminds me of the ABB Fillmore concerts - the blu-ray rotates through a small set of pictures throughout the whole album....

"The Two" were much better on the Quadrophenia Tour (due to Roger's throat surgery) than they were on the one a few years prior (I saw them twice - at the beginning of the Tour Pete didn't seem to be much in it - at the end Roger was croaking like a frog). That said I'm not sure I'm going to cough up a few hundred to see them again. HAte to admit it but that would be approv 44 years since my first live Who

No that's your sentence
guess I'd call it closer to a no Bonzo/no Zep "comparison"
just type BO from now on 😮 😛

just snagged the cheapest ticket ($49.50) in the ticketfky presale. only $62.50, $92.50 & $154.50 left for forest hills stadium.

My seat is right on the side of the stage in the upper bowl, 1002 row HH seat 12.

With fees and print at home (free) it's $59.23

perfect for my new budget of $50 shows only.

Did you have to pay $50 to join the Who fan club for the pre-sale?

You would not have to pay $50 for the pinballwiz or who50 presale eligibility. The fan club presale was earlier in the week.
