The TTB Beacon Shows 2015

I have jumped in on two of the Tedeschi Trucks Band Beacon Theatre shows. I will be attending both Friday night shows. I paid a ransom for Row BB on 10/2 and kept revisiting Ticketmaster's TTB page scouring the other 3 NYC shows and out of the blue the opening Friday 9/25 show Row J become available after days of not, so I grabbed them too. I know Los Lobos is opening 9/25, Did they ever announce who's opening on 10/2. 10/3 is An Evening with.
I'm not a multi-show guy in the same run or for the same year for that matter other than The Black Crowes and the Allman Brothers. The Crowes were always rewarding with oddball cool gems. Rich Robinson sang The Seeker by The Who when I saw them 3rd Row @ Jones Beach in the seats the band gave to everyone who entered a contest. They have played tunes from everyone. I love Rich. They played multi night stretch at the Hammerstein Ballroom in I think '08 and played only 5 songs on multiple nights and it was only on 2 or 3 of the nights. I think it was a 5 night stretch. Nobody did it like them, at least not the bands I dig. I know WP and Trey among others have ardent followers and they are rewarded with multi night attendance in much the same way, but I just can't ride them trains, at least not at this time.
The Allman's gave a gem every now and then and also varied the setlists to keep it worthy and the music and atmosphere is of it's own, but if you caught the right 3 ABB Beacons you caught the whole run (excluding guests).
I have seen the Derek Trucks Band and the Tedeschi Trucks Band a few times each, but never twice in their own entity on the same tour. That's a new level for me. I see most everyone I deem worthy when I can, but just once per.
With a couple albums now released and a past history of playing some sweet influential covers I hope to hear some different tunes maxed out with their skillset and style. I have loads of respect for the musicianship and being a 30+ year casual guitar hack myself I watch and learn. These are my Superbowls. I love the way they funk up Sly. I'd love to see them do Sly's Are You Ready......... "Don't hate the black, Don't hate the white, Don't hate the dog, Just hate the bite". I'd prefer a ballad lite diverse offering in each of the nights. I'm looking forward to it, It should be a blast.

I did the same thing last year, two Friday night TTB Beacon shows. Both were great (Jerry Douglas AND Taj Mahal was one of my favorite shows ever), not a lot of repetition. Derek knows how this works and knows to spice it up, that it's a run and not 4 shows.
I saw them in Central Park last week and there are still a lot of surprises. I'm going to try to hit up the Los Lobos show, I just missed the bus on the presale and general sale.
