I ran across this song this past weekend and am kind of hypnotized by it.
As far as that goes, I would bet that everyone on this board is, like me, knocked out by vivid, colorful displays of virtuosity that we get from the Allmans or Tedeschi Trucks etc.
Yet we are probably also all blues fans, and often, the blues trades in simplicity, repetition, even a kind of monotony that builds tension. While I love a full rainbow of colors with dynamics, twists, and turns, sometimes a simple groove carries it all. That is where this song comes from:
