While many focus on the fact that Duane, Berry, Butch and Gregg have passed over to the other side, and tend to think, well this is it, there's nothing after this, think again.
Dickey, Jaimoe, Oteil, Marc are still here. So is Jack and Warren and countless others who have played with the band over the years. Many of them will be jamming today, tonight, remembering, re-kindling the sound, the energies.
So, some are right when they say there will be no re-union of ABB as it was, but there was no re-union after Duane and Berry; what happened was those who remained went on to continue the music, to evolve and create new music. That is what can happen, so like a Phoenix that rises from the ashes, ANYTHING can happen, Henry Paul wrote a song called Grey Ghost about Duane, "the man is gone but his spirit will remain", that's where we are today, tomorrow? Like Gregg's song said ANYTHING GOES.

Your heart is in the right place but Grey Ghost was written for Ronnie Van Zant.
I think as fans of this music we should simply rally around Dickey & Jaimoe and support whatever they choose to do, be it music or retirement.
They have gave us enough.
