Anyone else tune in to Sirius XM Deep Tracks this weekend and take in their music random play of the entire Woodstock festival?

Pretty cool to hear the contents of everyone's full sets (even Quill) after wondering and waiting so many years. Nice to get a taste of lesser known groups like Sweetwater and Keef Hartley. And despite all that has been said, Tim Hardin didn't suck.

Audio quality a bit mixed at times but the vast majority of the material is highly listenable. One of the big surprises was how a large multi-instument group like Blood Sweat and Tears sounded really clean and distinct. BTW, every one of their performances is an official audio release on YouTube. Wish more groups would have done this. Incredible String Band is another group with crystal audio, even though not my cup of tea. All in all, this was the closest thing I've experienced to actually being there for the entire event.

Here's a link to the complete track list on the 38 CD limited release (already sold out).

Some of those discs seem strangely short.

Nope but tics to Santana & Doobie's this coming weekend an caught Fogerty couple months ago.

Tim Hardin - I've always liked Rod Stewart's version of a "Reason to believe", I've talked with his wife
(interesting lady) a few times over the years. Tim is another 60's era musician whom fell to drug addiction.

I listened to parts of it on XPN radio - I was surprised to hear some of Jimi's set that I don't recall hearing previously- part of the jam segment before he plays the "Villanova Jam" octave portion. Also wonder if they played Larry Lee's portion. Anyone hear that??

Gary,

I read that the Experience Hendrix people did not allow the Larry Lee performance to be used on the Woodstock complete performance CD set.

But here is a link to his performance of Gypsy Woman/Aware of Love from the Hendrix set. Nice stuff! Don't know if he sang anything else.

knew some of the hendrix stuff was left off.
wasn't there another band that didn't make the cut because their set was too distorted to use?
because of these two issues i didn't buy the boxed set.
