Got my 6 discs of Bob/The Band today.

Time to dig deep and spend many hours finally hearing clean originals of this!

Loving Richard Manuel's drumming.Levon shows up later-he was still on the run from the British booing. LOL

The packaging is so cool...the music is blowing my mind.

Also got Neil Young's Storytone.

The big band stuff is very good, the full orchestra is interesting, and I've yet to listen to the acoustic side.Lyrically, has its good moments, but also some banal songs.

An inconsistent album...I think my brain is rattling with Dylan,so I'll listen again at one point...

If you're a Dylan fan,IMHO,the entire bootleg series is,in many ways,as revolutionary, musically speaking and lyrically,as the released albums.

Heck,no Blind Willie McTell without the bootleg series.

LOVE The Band, Neil also of course...

How is the sound on the new Basement Tapes? I have much of that stuff and of course the sound is pretty bad on some things. And didn't they release a remastered version of the original 1975 album? So this set is finally everything?

The 2 disc version of the basement tapes will probably be my next purchase. Has anybody else heard a rumor that the next Basement Tapes release might be from the Blood on the Tracks era?
